10 years ago today went to court to try to save our precious, historic allotments!
The Lib Dem’s lied. There was not going to be a hospital and they knew the funding was not in place (hopefully now with a Labour government that will change) but it won’t be on the allotment land.

We can now confirm Lineker will no longer host MotD over his ‘political views’.
By political views I mean: speaking up against genocide in times where mainstream media tries to whitewash it.
@GaryLineker thank you for your integrity. You are one I will always look up to.
Now more than ever, we need people like @GaryLineker to stand up for those less fortunate. Keep going, Gary inews.co.uk/opinion/good-on-…

Oh how bloody wonderful
I volunteer at #Oxfam & a man came in today to donate toys and children's books precisely because he had read this @caitlinmoran @thetimes article. Please do take your clean, usable, saleable items to a charity shop before #Christmas rather than waiting until afterwards 😊

I started my career as a cleaner in the NHS. I learnt a lot about the world in that role. Some people treated me with respect, but many treated me badly. Cleaners hold hospitals together. I will absolutely judge you on how you treat the cleaners & porters.

I don't study politics, but I do study culture, and here are some of the signs that a cultural shift has been brewing for years in America that most of the professional political analysts just completely missed.
Some of these may seem absurd, but hear me out. 🧵
We'll start with this one:

The election of Donald Trump is a dark day for reproductive healthcare, the rights of refugees and the future of our planet.
As we speak, people are being slaughtered in Gaza and Lebanon. Our demands on our governments have not changed: stop enabling genocide and end all arms sales to Israel.
We are a global movement, made up of all faiths and backgrounds, united in our opposition to racism and hatred. We will never abandon hope in a more equal, sustainable and peaceful world.

The budget marks the start of fixing the foundations in the nation's finances inherited from the Tories.
The Chancellor of the Exchequer kept Labour's promise not to raise VAT, Income Tax, or National Insurance on working people.
We are delivering change and rebuilding Britain.
