Great #RockingAphasia event today in the School hosted by @abracabadger and colleagues from @CityLCS that helped to raise awareness of aphasia, which is a complex language disorder caused by brain injuries such as stroke, cancer or head trauma

I've really enjoyed taking over @CUH_SLT along with a college to raise #aphasiaawareness 🗣️ We've been able to share stories from truly inspirational people and tips to assist #communication 💬 The highlight has to be the @RockingAphasia activity - they are truly sedimental! 🪨🎨
Before we end this takeover, here's our final takeaway from raising #aphasiaawareness: While #aphasia can cause communication difficulties, we have to remember they are people first, and not their diagnosis. Not being able to speak, does not mean having nothing to say. 🧠💬
