Woorak鈥檚 annual crop walk again. Fantastic group of people finding the time to have a look around at some amazing El Ni帽o crops. Freely sharing their knowledge and the odd story馃ぃ Well Done

Pretty hard to do everything Matt. Best part was the number of young keen blokes. We pulled up at Oscar鈥檚 and they were all keen enough to jump out in a shower of rain to keep learning馃槂

Germinating rain 11 days ago and another rain 5 days later, 11mm in total. Glad to see the canola up even on this swampy black ground, would be good to get enough rain to fill the cracks one day soon. JD disc seeder is great at establishing canola

Found this Twitter idea good for round snails and capacity in our 2388 for the top sieve, it鈥檚 199 expanded mesh. The chains had trouble cleaning the very edges thoroughly, we added short small chains just cable tied down in recent years which solved that issue

Pretty impressed when one of the company owners show his commitment to making the best product he can by driving all over Australia to strengthen them just in case it might be a issue in the future. I learnt a lot in a few hours. Thanks Lenny. It鈥檚 a beautifully designed machine.

Found these blocks give you a bit more room to move when changing the oil and filters in the back end of the tractor, there great for the truck too and the handle on the block makes that bit easier too

Trying to come up with ways to avoid using heavy D shackles when joining recovery straps. Not sure if this soft shackle/lifting sling is a good idea yet but it might spark some ideas.

Squeezing a pen light torch into the top of a drum while filling them up makes seeing the level a whole lot easier

Don鈥檛 like them when dry they throw material up on top of the opener and sink into lose soil. When wet they clean the disc well most of the time and let the mud out through the spring. He鈥檚 improved the design on mine which has a spot the mud can lodge, which I鈥檝e since modified

That $3 hose clamp stoped me getting out of the cab every 10mins to clean baked on mud off between the gauge wheel and the disc Usually I can run the wheel close or wide & one will work, when neither did the clamp stoped the build up but it did throw more mud so I made a mud flap

The baffle restricts the flow to around a ton a minute, the grain builds and tumbles around it. It also could mix a bit at the spout of the shifter perhaps . I鈥檓 quite surprised at the coverage it achieves
