The Lib Dems have the best plan to fix our broken water system. Why doesn’t Andy Burnham use it?

This happens to the #Isleworth police team as well...
The Minister completely failed to answer my question, but in Twickenham we are all too used to seeing our community officers pulled into central London. If it's ever going to end, the Met must be funded properly to keep central London and Twickenham safe.

🎖️I've brought together 103 MPs from 11 parties & @PoppyLegion with a simple Budget ask: Stop cutting injured veterans' benefits just because they've received military compensation. Civilian compensation is protected. Veterans should be too. Chancellor, this injustice must end

While the Tories ignore the evidence and support railroading over local communities' objections to expanding Heathrow, I and @LibDems will continue to stand up for our local area, and our planet.

Schools should be places of learning, belonging and opportunity, never fear. Antisemitism has no place in our society. @libdems welcome the Bell Review and accept all its recommendations to help ensure every child feels safe and supported at school.

The Liberal Democrats are the only party on Hounslow Council to condemn the Government's undemocratic planning changes.

I have enormous respect for Andrew Boff. From defending Trans rights to backing fairer votes and the ECHR, he's a man of principle. A Conservative Party that can't accommodate lifelong Tories like him isn't worthy of its name. It's now just a second-rate Reform tribute act.

I am ruling out our party entering into a national partnership with any party that is committed to a dangerous and antisemitic policy like the Green Party’s. Here is my letter to the Jewish Leadership Council and the Board of Deputies of British Jews 👇

Frequent flyers get air miles. Regular train passengers get nothing back. Caroline Pidgeon is calling for rail miles to reward loyal passengers, and her proposal to the Railways Bill is in the Lords today. @CarolinePidgeon

Hats off to @ChildrensComm Rachel de Souza for this damning report on the postcode lottery of children’s lives in the UK. I will be at the report launch in parliament tomorrow - really hope it gets the scrutiny it deserves in parliament.

The sad truth is that children and young people, their needs and concerns have become a low priority for successive governments. We need to start putting young people front and centre of our policy decisions and see them as an investment, not a cost line in government budgets.

As @RSylvester1 reports a 'state of emergency' but also a local one: deeply concerning that Hounslow's children face so many challenges. Will need to examine full report from @ChildrensComm tomorrow to examine metrics used.

The danger of narrowing choices at 14 is that it rarely affects the most privileged. Too often, it's children from disadvantaged backgrounds who are told to lower their sights. @libdems believe every young person should have the opportunity to pursue whatever future they choose.

On this day in 1939, the Nazis began deporting Jewish people to Nisko in occupied Poland. The plan was soon abandoned, but it marked an early stage in Nazi policies of forced deportation.
