Employees are questioning if Microsoft is abusing H-1B and PERM programs.
A Senior Director at MSFT (good friend of mine) just sent me internal messages between MSFT & some of its employees.
Today, Microsoft just asked THOUSANDS of its employees to voluntarily resign, despite just reporting $133.7B in net income for FY26, up 31%.
Employees are questioning why MSFT isnโt pro-actively downsizing by removing H1B employees before American workers.
Other employees are asking why any employee cuts are being made when profits are so high.
Fair question if ya ask me.

We need to be using Oklahoma as a cautionary tale in Idaho TWICE:
1) failed Medicaid expansion
2) legalizing marijuana by ballot initiative
Both have immeasurably harmed Oklahoma
*but we should absolutely adopt their remittance tax policy
Medicaid expansion disrupted what was a once stable budget in Oklahoma.
Sooners bear these costs twice: once through their taxes to fund able-bodied, working-age adults on Medicaid and again to cover the inflated cost of their own care.

This is the difference. California relies on the honor system. If someone attests theyโre a U.S. citizen, they donโt check or verify it.
But DHS has their alien numbers and full immigration histories.

Called vet. Theyโre busy. Called emergency. Said give him small amount bland food. He gobbled up (heavily) watered down rice and turkey. Got him to drink w/ice cubes. Waiting to see if he holds it down. Doesnโt feel like high temp. If he throws up we will go in. Playing like normal now.
Rough night. Aldous woke me at 130 to go outside. He ๐ฉ a bunch. Woke me again at 2 throwing up. At 330 he was jumping on pen again- went outside, another throw up more ๐ฉ. We moved to couch to be closer to backyard. I skipped morning appointment. Hasnโt touched water bowl yet.
