For millions of American families, rent is an unavoidable predatory and systemic tax on the unestablished or on those whose parents can't gift them a large downpayment.
Opendoor’s job is simple: end this tax.

I know of no better life purpose than to perish attempting the great and impossible.

Was recently watching Edge of Tomorrow. Seeing Tom Cruise fight aliens again and again, and restarting, made me think, this must be how LLMs feel learning in RL envs :P
If you've graduated from an IIT and still need the tag after 5 years into your career, you've genuinely screwed up
About IIT JEE ranks. I speak from some experience, because after graduating from Kharagpur, I have visited each of the original five IITs several times (they called me for talks, panel discussions etc).
The top AIR 100 are at a deterrent level. This does not guarantee that they will be immensely successful in industry or invention. But their brains are wired in a certain (awesome) way.
Beyond that, whether your rank is 235 or 1678, we are all the same. It was just one day in our life when we sat for the exams. I have never found anyone who had a rank of 1900 less smart than someone who was 257.
The only IITian who has gone to jail is someone who was below AIR 100 :)

Most of what was produced in academia today is noise, some 100% (performative academia), some ~90-99% (science).
Most of what was produced by the baker today is signal.

Wait a second, are you telling me years of effort, thought, and dedication to creating software is in fact better than your weekends slop cannon?
I refuse to believe it
