Dr. Locasale, you've been on 🔥 re MIT's odious treatment of David Sabatini but this might be the best commentary so far. Reading Knouses's note is like looking into a dark dystopian future and thinking: this could never happen irl--and yet it did. There need to be consequences.
A colleague sent me this excerpt of a text Kristin Knouse sent to a friend. Fox News posted it with the article they published. She was so confident her own choices would count for nothing when assigning blame. The entitlement is staggering. This captures what universities have become. Truth and fairness are irrelevant while administrators identify favored categories and protect the people who fit them, regardless of how destructively they behave. Individual conduct is meaningless in light of the institutional narrative. The message exemplifies the entitlement behind Knouse’s accusations and the receptive audience she found among administrators. She expected responsibility to rest with him regardless of her own conduct. The institutions gave that expectation career-destroying force. A majority female jury in a deep blue state found that she defamed Dr. Sabatini and unlawfully interfered with his professional relationships, rejected her counterclaims, and awarded him $6 million. The disgrace extends beyond Knouse. Administrators and the rotten institutions they lead destroyed a scientist’s life’s work while claiming to uphold fairness and evidence. They should be held accountable for what they did.

Many of these documents have been in the public domain for a long time but were only accessible through the court docket. Post trial they are coming to light.
🚨 BOMBSHELL COURT EVIDENCE REVEALS EXPLOSIVE COMMUNICATIONS ABOUT A CONCEALED INVESTIGATION INTO PROFESSOR DAVID M. SABATINI — BEFORE WHITEHEAD'S DIVERSITY SURVEY. 🔱 New revelation — Court-disclosed messages describe a plan to use Whitehead Institute's diversity survey to conceal an investigation already under consideration. The court evidence contains extraordinary contemporaneous communications involving Nora Kory, a former postdoctoral researcher in David Sabatini’s laboratory at Whitehead Institute, Kristin Knouse, and references to Whitehead Institute Director Ruth Lehmann. THE PARTICIPANTS' OWN WORDS ARE STUNNING. Nora Kory stated: 🔴 “Although we know the diversity survey was just a cover up and it was planned long before...” Knouse responded that Ruth Lehmann: 🔴 “was a little loose lipped early on…” In another exchange, Kory described her discussion with Lehmann: 🔴 “we came up with the idea of ‘covering the investigation up’ with the diversity survey” Knouse replied: 🔴 “Yea I mean this supports the notion that she has all along wanted to follow through on this but scared to do it without a smoking gun ...” ⚠️ THE SIGNIFICANCE IS PROFOUND. These are contemporaneous messages in which participants explicitly described the diversity survey as a cover for an investigation they said had already been contemplated. The communications raise serious concerns that the publicly presented sequence of events may not reflect the discussions taking place behind the scenes. The references to Ruth Lehmann make the documentary evidence particularly consequential for examining Whitehead's leadership, the origins of the investigation, and the independence of the procedures that followed. An institutional investigation must be transparent, impartial, and grounded in evidence. Its legitimacy cannot rest on procedures whose stated purpose may differ from the purpose discussed privately by those involved. The documentary record demands independent scrutiny of Whitehead Institute Director Ruth Lehmann's decision-making, the origins of the investigation, and the integrity of the procedures that followed. 📑 REVIEW THW ORIGINAL COURT EVIDENCE BELOW. 🔱 ScienceGuardians™ Legal and Investigative Team MORE COURT EVIDENCE. One week from today, Americans head to the polls, and many will choose a governor. Before they do, look at Virginia: ICE cooperation gutted, tax hikes on gym memberships and dog walking, and a failed redistricting power grab. Virginia is becoming the California of the Mid-Atlantic. This is Harvard Law Professor Emerita, Mary Ann Glendon's theory too, published in @firstthingsmag (2003) and in my book, The Cost of Choice (2004)
People usually say that the pill caused the sexual revolution but a) people started having premarital sex in the 1950s, a decade before the pill and b) contraception is widely used by people who don't live very post-sexual-revolution lives (like in Asia). I think the sexual revolution, i.e. more permissive attitudes about sex, caused the pill to be invented and not the other way round. But then, why did the sexual revolution happen? I have cooked up a theory. Just as how women have more casual sex on college campuses with fewer men, I think women, as a collective, responded to the male shortage caused by the Second World War by shortening their hemlines and having premarital sex.

I’ve been a university professor for 15 years, political economy, Duke University, pro-capitalist, thus a minority, and can attest that for decades these schools have price-gouged & indoctrinated millions of students. They’ve destroyed instead of developed young human capital. Deliberately. So a majority of millions would rule and vote socialist. As is happening. Utterly grotesque.
WILD: University of Michigan students PROVE just how STUPID and BRAINWASHED they truly are when they were asked to define what socialism is, while a Fox poll shows nearly half of young Americans still view it favorably. “Socialism doesn't mean like anti-capitalism. Based off what I learned in my Gov class, it's basically like spending more money on helping society.” “Socialism to me is a concept in politics where everybody gets a little bit of everything. Everybody benefits and everybody is really taking care of kind of that social net that you see in other types of politics.”
“I think a lot of people get the economic system of Socialism confused with the government system of Communism.” We are SCREWED if we do not change how the younger generations views capitalism.

Fin.

🚨 BOMBSHELL COURT EVIDENCE EXPOSES INSIDER INFLUENCE OVER MIT'S TENURE-REVIEW PROCESS IN THE DAVID M. SABATINI ORDEAL. 🔱 NEW REVELATION — Court evidence exposes MIT Professor Sangeeta Bhatia's involvement in the selection of Sabatini's tenure-review committee On 27 September 2021, Kristin Knouse exchanged messages with Izabella Pena following a conversation with @MIT Professor Sangeeta Bhatia. The court-disclosed messages reveal Kristin Knouse telling Izabella Pena: 🔴 “Sangeeta just called” 🔴 “they even asked for insight into who to put on the committee” 🔴 “AND she said she will go to Rafael Reif’s office and protest the decision if and when needed.” Pena responded: “At least they are asking her insight” Knouse replied: “Exactly” “This is good” ⚠️ The evidence exposes a troubling channel of insider influence surrounding MIT's tenure-review process. These contemporaneous communications document that Knouse understood Bhatia to have been consulted about the committee's composition and to be prepared to challenge its eventual decision directly with MIT President Rafael Reif. Rather than an independent review insulated from interested parties, the messages reveal access to the committee-selection process by an academic aligned with the complainant, raising serious concerns about institutional impartiality and conflicts of interest. This disclosure adds another significant piece to the growing documentary record surrounding the institutional handling of Professor @DMSabatini's case. 📑 REVIEW THW ORIGINAL COURT EVIDENCE BELOW. 🔱 ScienceGuardians™ Legal and Investigative Team MORE COURT EVIDENCE. An Open Concern About Appearances: The Catholic Church and the Midterms I am Catholic. I say the rosary. I go to Mass. Nothing in what follows is an accusation against the Church, the Pope, or any bishop. It is a concern about how things look from the outside, and how that appearance is landing with millions of Americans right now. This administration created a Justice Department task force on anti-Christian bias, pardoned twenty-three pro-life prisoners, stood up a White House Faith Office and a Religious Liberty Commission, designated Nigeria a Country of Particular Concern over the killing of Christians, and cut off federal funding to Planned Parenthood. For a Catholic writer, that record is not nothing. It is, on its face, one of the most tangible pro-life and pro-faith agendas in modern presidential history. In January 2025, the same administration suspended the refugee and migrant service contracts that had funded the USCCB and Catholic Charities for decades. Over one hundred million dollars a year. More than ninety-five percent of some program budgets. By spring, staff were laid off. By summer, agencies were closing programs. The money did not come back. Institutions that lose their largest funding stream tend to find their moral vocabulary sharpening in the same direction as their budgets. I am not saying that is what happened. I am saying that is what it looks like, and that appearance is not going unnoticed. Fourteen months later, in April 2026, the public statements from the Vatican and from American bishops toward this administration grew noticeably louder and more pointed than anything seen during the first term. Catholics see it. Non-Catholics see it. And when a bishop speaks out days before a national election against one party’s immigration positions—which are prudential disagreements open to debate—while remaining silent on the other’s platform positions that contradict settled Church teaching on life, on the body, on marriage, the imbalance is impossible to miss. I am not suggesting the Church holds a grudge, or that its silence on one side was bought. I am saying that is the appearance, and appearances are what most Americans, Catholic and not, actually see. When the institution that spent a year without its largest funding stream then directs its public voice at one party near an election—the very party that delivered more concrete protections for Christian life and religious liberty than perhaps any administration in living memory—the appearance is not of a shepherd. It is of a stakeholder. That is the embarrassment I cannot unsee. -- Joseph Fosco October 27, 2026

The U.S. Department of War and the U.S. Navy must end the corrupt Navy Reserve program popular with the Beltway, and all officers past and present should be reinvestigated. All flag officers who managed the program should be brought back to active service and demoted one rank. The program is the epitome of deep state pay to play corruption. The Navy trades commissions for influence in the federal bureaucracy and up to Congress. Moreover, Democrats who are bereft of veterans use the program to check a box, not to serve. If it was service, they would join through the normal process, and wouldn’t cluster around Intelligence and Public Affairs. If there was a need, the majority of commissions would be for Surface Warfare Officers. Among the many Naval Reserve Officers include former LA Mayor Eric Garcetti, who half his donors were illegal China Smurfs. Most in politics are similarly compromised. All classified leaks since March 2025 are from Democrats with SIPR/JWICS access. No exceptions. This Navy Reserve Commission program is cancer and must end. Literally none of the other services have this, and if they did it would be the exact same problem. @SecWar @PeteHegseth and @SECNAV @HungCao_VA
Wait...Ian Brinksman was one of those dime-a-dozen DC Navy reserve intelligence officers?

Despicable. Faithful Catholic pilgrims are denied entry to St. Peter’s Basilica because of their devotion to the Traditional Latin Mass. The next time we’re told that Pope Leo praying the Our Father in Latin signals a change in Rome’s attitude toward traditional Catholics, remember how these pilgrims were treated. So much talk of pastoral charity and unity, yet some of the Church’s most faithful Catholics continue to be met with closed doors.
They were denied entry. They processed anyway. Faithful Catholics whose only “fault” is that they remain grateful to Pope Benedict for Summorum Pontificum, were denied entry into St. Peter’s Basilica, where they hoped to conclude their procession through the Pilgrim’s Door and recite the Credo over the bones of the first pope. They came anyway, and went as far as they could. God bless them and their loyal hearts.

My friends know my wife is a huge anti-Trumper. She believes firmly that he's gonna seize permanent power and never let go. She knows this in her soul and cannot be dissuaded from the certainty by any argument. I know. I've tried. Setting aside the fact the man is *old* and has no desire for a third term, I keep coming back to the fact that Trump has become the defining personality of American politics in the 21st century. Doesn't matter if I think he's a showboating showman with no real statesmanship. He towers over Obama, W. Bush, every Senator, every Congressman, every Governor, etc. Everyone and everything just pings and pongs off the hull of the U.S.S. Trump and it's all reactive politics all the time. Even the DSA—who are Communists cloaked in Millennial metrosexualism—just hurl rotten fruit at this guy. Using him to hype up their growing base. If he did not exist they would have to invent him. The Orange One is the dragon breathing fire across the American political scene, and the number of jousting pugilists who tilt at the Orange windmill is legion. He defines who they are. Never the opposite. And I suspect in many ways this is what drives their hate.

MIT thinks it can put on a show claiming to value merit to keep the DOJ and the White House off its back. David Sabatini’s case exposes that smokescreen. Their true colors were on display throughout his ordeal. Scientific excellence was disposable when it conflicted with their political priorities. They have hollowed out the science while continuing to trade on the reputation it built. Their real priorities are far removed from the excellence they advertise. The Guardian is asking the wrong question. The real story in Hungary is the rise of liberal authoritarianism, backed by Brussels. Viktor Orbán lost an election and peacefully handed over power. The new government then banned him from running for prime minister again, barred many opposition politicians from running for office, removed the president and constitutional judges, and launched a political purge against the largest opposition party. It also created a powerful new authority with extraordinary powers to seize assets and investigate political opponents. All this in the name of democracy and the rule of law! This is what the Guardian should be investigating. The patriotic movement is not going away. It is a response to decades of globalist and neoliberal policies that are leading the West towards disaster. European countries have become ungovernable as a result of decades of disastrous political decisions. This is the fundamental problem of the EU. And as long as the crisis continues, the movement will only grow stronger. This is also how the patriotic movement in Hungary will renew itself and rebuild for the future. theguardian.com/news/ng-inte…
