Here is a question from @SensDownUnder
Is there a band that you want to like badly and have tried many times but just can't?

12 of Massachusetts’ 14 sheriffs just warned Governor Healey that her new ICE law could let people facing murder, rape, and kidnapping charges walk out of jail with zero notice to federal authorities.
The law generally blocks jails from giving ICE advance notice when someone is released. The only exception is for people who have already finished a sentence for certain serious violent felonies. That exception does not cover pretrial detainees.
The sheriffs say this is already happening. In the data they sampled, every relevant detainee was facing violent charges. Fourteen of them had bail set at $1,000 or less, some as low as $500 on kidnapping or domestic assault charges. One pretrial detainee in Worcester County is wanted by Interpol for murder abroad, with bail set at $500.
If ICE doesn’t get a heads-up while the person is still in custody, agents may have to try to find them later in the community. The sheriffs say that creates avoidable risks for the public, law enforcement, and bystanders.
They’re asking for a limited fix so that when a pretrial detainee with an ICE detainer is facing serious violent charges, federal authorities at least get notified before the person is released.
Shouldn't this have already been part of the law?

John Sununu calls out Chris Pappas and Democrats for their campaigning on gas prices while their party has waged war on energy for years:
“The fact of the matter is you voted for $100 billion in tax increases on energy. If you want real affordability, we need permitting reform, which you opposed.”
“If you want affordable energy, you need domestic production, which you and Joe Biden fought time after time after time.”
He’s exactly right.

Wow! @Lily4Liberty just delivered a sharp response in her Congressional debate.
After her opponent called for more federal gun laws. Williams pointed out that New Hampshire is a constitutional carry state and one of the safest in the country because law-abiding citizens can defend their families and communities.
She survived communism, so she treats the 2nd Amendment as the sacred right that it is.

I’ve played bass on every album Mötley Crüe has ever recorded and written the lion’s share of our music over the years. When Mick made statements about the band that we believe were untrue, in an attempt to gain leverage in a lawsuit he ultimately lost, it created a lot of confusion and fueled some negative perceptions of the band.
The saddest part is that we genuinely loved Mick. During his struggles with addiction, I personally did everything I could to help him and, at times, save his life. We shared decades of music, memories, and brotherhood. That history means something to us.
What hurts the most isn’t the lawsuit or the headlines. It’s the feeling that someone we considered a brother turned his back on us and, in the process, misled the fans who supported all of us for so many years.

2018, Thailand: SpaceX engineers built a mini-submarine within days to help rescue a boys' soccer team trapped in a flooded cave.
2020, COVID: He sourced and delivered ventilators and supplies to hospitals for free.

2022: Starlink kept Ukrainians connected when their networks went down.
2022, Tonga: Starlink helped reconnect the island after a volcano cut its undersea cable.
Wildfires, hurricanes, earthquakes: Starlink terminals keep showing up for rescuers and families.
And the biggest one, the one that's easy to miss: he's spent his fortune and 20+ years building clean energy, safer cars, and a future for humanity among the stars.
They call him a villain. The record says otherwise.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Walter Koenig’s passing.
Although we did not know each other well away from the set, we shared the later seasons of the original Star Trek series and the six films that followed.
What I observed, and what so many fans have expressed over the years, was a man who genuinely loved the Star Trek community.
At conventions, Walter was rarely content to remain behind a signing table. He preferred to be among the people who had kept Star Trek alive for so many decades.
That kind of genuine connection is rare, and it will be remembered by everyone who came into contact with him.
My condolences to his family, his friends, and the countless fans whose lives he touched.
What say you Canadians 🇨🇦

Dear Barack Obama
Did you really just have the muthafuckin nerve to say Trump got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory?
NIGGA PLEASE!
Who the fuck are you to talk about taste when you got that nasty ass library fucking up the Chicago landscape?
Shit look like Dracula's Castle had sex with the Death Star and threw up a baby.
And now you got the nerve to charge Black folks $30 and $23 for children 3-11 to get into that monstrosity of yours?!
And all that GRIFT anit being put back into the Black Community.
It's going straight to the muthafuckin Obama Foundation to be used for God only knows what.
FUCK THAT.
Meanwhile Trump is giving the White House a BEAUTIFUL 90,000-square-foot, two-story ballroom that has a 22,000-square-foot banquet hall for visiting dignitaries to have state dinners in comfort and style.
It also has first lady offices, a movie theater, and a six-story underground bunker that replaces the Presidential Emergency Operations Center.
What your gay muthafuckin ass ever contributed to the White House but racism and a basketball court so people would think you a man.
So bytch lose me on all that Trump-hating nonsense yall be spewing 24/7.
I'm a STRONG THINKING BLACK WOMAN and I know when I smell BULLSHIT.
You Bernie with the same talking points today.. as usual Old Man Ed and Old Man Bernie two comrade buddies don’t have a thought of their own!
This is how out of touch Bernie and Ed are; who under Biden chose not to help any American Citizen at all. Instead he continuously voted YES to Bidens policies that saw the highest inflation rates since Jimmy Carters presidency.
Bernie & Ed voted for this; listed are the increases that under Biden, Bernie’s and Ed’s Congress perpetuated on the everyday American citizens wow allowing 15+ million illegals into our country and causing this inflation.
Bernie & Ed doesn’t want you to remember this
UNDER BIDEN, BERNIE & ED
Diesel prices ⬆️ 105%
Gas prices ⬆️ 96%
Beef prices ⬆️ 23%
Bernie and Ed you two are an ass hat that is way out of touch reality.
