Anyone else finding fable gets your back up a bit with concise mode turned on. 😅😅 Like with out the Claude babble it’s just a bit too on the nose and thinks your a bit of an idiot. 😂😂

You can now set Claude Code's output style to Concise. Claude leads with the result, keeps responses short, and still gives full detail when you ask. Turn it on in /config → Output style, or set "outputStyle": "Concise" in settings.json.

Sonnet 5 is a substantial improvement over Sonnet 4.6 on reasoning, tool use, coding, and knowledge work. Its performance is close to Opus 4.8, at lower prices.

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
