Most NFTs reveal almost everything about themselves the moment you mint them. @FungoLabs Genesis takes a different approach. The Fungo Genesis collection consists of 3,232 NFTs, built around an interesting idea: what people see doesn’t necessarily have to reveal everything an NFT contains. Each Genesis NFT has two layers: The Look and The Essence. The Look is the visual side of the NFT, its artwork and traits. As the holder, you can decide whether to reveal this information publicly or keep it sealed. Then there’s The Essence. This is where things get more interesting. The Essence contains the NFT’s class, four stats and element. Unlike the visual layer, these attributes remain encrypted. So, someone might be able to see the artwork you’ve chosen to reveal without having access to the underlying characteristics that make your NFT unique. And this isn’t just about hiding information for the sake of it. It’s about introducing a different way to think about digital ownership one where visibility can be a choice rather than a default. The collection also has different rarity levels, ranging from Common to Legendary, giving each Genesis NFT its own combination of characteristics. What I find interesting is the separation between what an NFT looks like and what it actually contains. You can reveal the appearance without revealing the essence. That’s the idea behind @FungoLabs Genesis. Not everything you own needs to be visible to everyone.
