Sarah Ferguson, Prince Andrew's ex-wife, was secretly filmed asking a businessman for £500,000 to "open doors" to Andrew. The businessman was an undercover reporter from the News of the World, a British tabloid.
In the video below, she tells him the money will "open up all the channels, whatever you need, whatever you want," and "then you meet Andrew and that's fine."
It was May 2010, and Andrew was Britain's trade envoy. She wanted the rest by wire transfer: "If you give me the bank account details, I'll arrange that no problem at all." Before he left, she picked up a $40,000 cash deposit in a black computer bag.
The paper ran the footage on May 23. The palace said Andrew was "unaware of the meeting." She apologized the same day for "a serious lapse in judgement."
Then the story flipped. In 2016 the reporter, Mazher Mahmood, known as the "Fake Sheikh," was jailed for 15 months for tampering with evidence in a different case. That year she sued the paper's owner. By 2018 she wanted £40 million in lost earnings, including two TV shows.
In January 2018, the owner's lawyers called her case "defective and embarrassing" and stood by the story. No ruling on her claim has been reported.

Hello magazine has a correspondent in the Caribbean. They would have known about the dates a long time in advance and could have timed the spread to drop after the tour ended, or before it took off
And yet I do not see anyone dragging Harriet for doing something that could take attention away from Charles

So the second wife of a non-working royal ranked 20th in line of succession, with no heirs, gets called royal, but the King's actual daughter-in-law, a Duchess and mother to a Prince and a Princess, doesn't. Logic at its finest.

You can't convince me that the Met made these decisions alone. I know it came from the Palace, and I know the Palace used it so they could control the narrative around Meghan. If they stopped giving security to H&M when they were the most threatened, imagine what they can do.

They know that Meghan wanted to go public about the abuse claims against Thomas Markle but was advised not to do so by a MET police officer, whom the MET police says they can't trace.
How do they know that the MET police told her all that if they don't know who he is?
They know who he is.
And they didn't fail to alert other law enforcement agencies; they were told not to do so by Jason Knauf (Prince William's man), who took the letter and told the MET police to stay quiet about it, so that they (Prince William and Kate Middleton) could use it as a blackmail tool against Thomas Markle to force him into helping them assassinate Meghan's character.

I have watched oprah, the Netflix documentary (3 times) and read Spare twice.
They are entitled to share their experience. Many who didn't live it have weighed in. It is not their fault that you wanted them to remain mute. They have every right to share what happened.

Assuming they were 5 years of age in 1945, WW2 isn’t within the living memory of 99.85% of any living Brit. There are 3,000 processions each year in Northern Ireland to commemorate a battle that occurred in 1690. You don’t want slavery remembered because it a shameful stain (one of many) on British history.
