Zig based desktop on Android and Wayland. With agents, managed to replace SystemUI with a Phantom UI based shell. I wonder if this could support macOS.

Is my work on a RISC-V GPU what prompted this tweet lol

It was mainly the fact that Chock, the AI harness this is used in, doesn't do exec when setting up isolation. The performance is faster to have something which is just there in the address space of the binary. The other problem is relying on C or Rust would change compilation and cross platform compilation, along with optimizations. It's pure Zig so the microVM startup becomes pretty fast.
Though it has ended up being useful to test option ROM's with EDKII for Glacier, a RISC-V GPU. QEMU doesn't like anything involving LLM's so getting them to support Glacier as a device to emulate or virtualize likely wouldn't get accepted.

6 years ago? This felt like a decade ago.

Actually, some of the low end modern Android phones are pretty cheap. But you do have to give them credit, back then those processor were very simple compared to what we have now.

I had a lot of patching to deal with this week.

I self host an email with NixOS, works pretty well.
I can't look at Twitter, it's all cyber security issues... Can we please have no vulnerabilities for the next like 48 hours?

Oh and if you're dealing with Python, you have to update 30 packages to fix 8 vulnerabilities but not all of the 50 other packages want those versions of those 30 updated packages.
Most problems I deal with during RTL dev is timing. Literally most issues is just timing being too marginal and things failing due to that.

It looks like the elevators from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace

I know the ROM is good, I've done testing of the option ROM module's RTL before integrating it with the rest of the design. But yeah, I'm trying to add a hypervisor to the monorepo for this hardware so I can see if EDKII can load it at least.
