Our World Polio Day didn’t stop at the Kasiki. On Saturday, 24 October 2026, the Rotary Club of Garuga joined our fellow Entebbe Road clubs to Kick Polio Out, a day of service, sport and fellowship for a polio-free world. ⚽🧵
The day began at 8am at Centenary Bank Kawuku with an immunisation drive, because every child reached is a child protected. At 10am we moved to SPN Turf for the Football Gala, where Rotarians and Rotaractors played their part on the pitch for the cause.
We ended the day with fellowship at SPN Turf. Thank you to the Entebbe Road clubs for hosting, to District 9214, and to our partners for making the day possible. We are this close. Let’s kick polio out for good. 💪

On the eve of World Polio Day, we traded boardroom talk for crayons and a microphone. Friday, 23 October 2026 was our World Polio Day Kasiki: a Crayons & Mic Night at Wilna Motel, Garuga, under the theme “Let the Child in You Shine.” 🖍️🎤🧵
In our End Polio Now T-shirts, we coloured, laughed and took the mic, bringing back the joy of childhood. Polio still threatens that joy for children in some parts of the world, so every crayon stroke was a reminder of why this fight matters.
A big thank you to Buddy Group Bugabo for organising a memorable night, and to every member who showed up in full colour. We are this close to ending polio. Let’s finish the job. 💪

On Friday, 23 October 2026, members of @Rotary_Garuga traded the boardroom for the runway. Our Garuga Vocational Tour took us behind the scenes at Entebbe International Airport to see the professions that keep Uganda’s gateway to the world running. ✈️🧵
