Today on the 50th anniversary of his LODD, we remember Firefighter Joseph Jenkins as he succumbed on this date in 1971 from injuries sustained attempting a residential house fire rescue at Old Concord Rd and MLK Jr Ave on July 8th. There was also a civilian fatality in this fire.
