In case you need a smile today:
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh at the Santahamina garrison in Helsinki yesterday, on the last day of their visit to Finland. Beaming like newlyweds as they fly the flag for Britain. Britain can certainly be proud of its authentic royals.

Breakfast for up to 200? In the dry season, it happens at Ithumba.
It’s not just our ex-orphans and their families who stop by either. We’re known on the wider ‘elephant grapevine’, and wild herds with babies and big bulls come to visit too. In the dry season, congregations of up to 200 elephants have gathered at our Ithumba Reintegration Unit in Tsavo East!
Knowing how many wild visitors we get, our catering staff (AKA our incredible Keepers) always leave out plenty of lucerne hay, while the water trough is fed by a nearby borehole with its own desalination plant to boot.
In fact, the dry season one of the busiest times of year for our conservation teams. Discover why in our archival Field Notes article: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/n…

🫡 At RBDF Coral Harbour Base, The King met members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force and heard about their work protecting the nation's maritime borders, supporting disaster response efforts and carrying out search-and-rescue operations across The Bahamas.

Queen Camilla is in Wiltshire today for the Ending Violence Against Women and Girls Summit. She’ll hear from speakers including Dame Nicole Jacobs, the Domestic Abuse Commissioner for England and Wales, and speak about the people who have inspired her work.
It’s important that the voices of those working to end abuse are heard—and that this issue continues to receive attention. I’m glad Queen Camilla is using her platform to help shine a light on their work. 💜

It’s pretty dry around our Kaluku Neonate Nursery, so Kaikai and Bungalu are making the most of every fresh bunch of greens. Today they hit the jackpot!
Bungalu has been tucking into grown-up food for a while now, but at 17 months old he still has a bottle of milk every three hours, day and night.
He arrived with very little energy, having survived a lion attack, a storm, and weeks on his own before the community helped rescue him. Now he’s filling out – so much so that his Keepers predict he will grow into a very big elephant in the fullness of time.

Finishing touches ahead of this evening’s State Banquet… ✨
Tonight, The King and Queen will host a State Banquet for the Sultan of Oman at Windsor Castle.
☕️ Inspired by the Omani ritual of Kahwa, a collection of special teas will be served.
While Kahwa is traditionally a spiced coffee, the concept has been adapted to draw on the long-standing British love of tea while preserving the aromatic spices and flavours that make Kahwa so distinctive: fragrant cardamom, delicate rose, sweet dates, and gentle warming spices.
Guests will be invited to choose from an Iced Earl Grey & Date, an Iced Mint & Rose, or a Warm Cardamom-Spiced Blend sweetened with Windsor Honey.
Together, they reflect the warmth and hospitality shared by both Omani and British traditions. 🇬🇧🇴🇲

A surprise engagement for the Princess of Wales (it wasn’t publicly announced in advance) at Café 98 in Hoveton.
It’s @EACH_hospices first and only café, located within a retail store.
The Princess was keen to recognise the dedication of volunteers and to highlight the important role played by charity retail and community fundraising in supporting children's hospice care.
