What a night at @UKParliament with Barons and some of the top innovators in the UK. Action is in motion together. My CTO has worked overtime this week seeing through the next build phase of @RuleSpark_com & when we caught up in the evening, was running through each step of the build and the reasoning for each step taken; to validate mitigation of technical debt. He started the chat mentioning how long of a day he had. So I stopped him mid reasoning and said: “I trust you, we will catch up later this week to run through the hypotheses and requirements. Thank the team from me, and go and get some rest.” Yes I need to be involved to validate hypotheses, but I trust my team to draw their own. As long as they’re transparent on the decisions drawn from their own and it is documented. We have known each other for years, worked together across multiple high profile clients and travelled to conferences worldwide side by side. We know how we operate best. And I require my team to be informed and empowered. N x N output in practice. This post is a shoutout to my CTO and dear friend @BartOutPublic.
