ALT "Da Last Word" Sport Podcast host, Rusty Byrd, was live at Lake Braddock Secondary School (LBSS) on Saturday May 9, 2026, for the annual Hall of Fame Invitational. This amazing track meet is held each spring with a special induction ceremony on the infield to honor some of the greatest Track and Field athletes in school history. This year, the LBSS 2026 Class of honorees included Leah Moore Byrd, Rachel Fasana, Janai Hill, Samatha Schwers, and Courtney Singleton. It was also very special that legendary 13- time State Champion Coach; 3-time Washington Post All Met Coach of the Year; LBSS Hall of Fame Member and school alumni, Coach Bob Digby was present and handed out the Hall of Fame plaques to his great former athletes. This event was even more special for DLW host, Rusty Byrd, because Hall of Fame inductee Dr. Leah Moore Byrd is his lovely wife.
