We are ready to see what Coach Traversi will bring to Merrimack Basketball,we are ready to #BEUNCOMMON!
About a week ago I did a deeper dive on Coach Traversi along with her Army Introductory press conference in full, and I am ALL the way in. Can’t wait for Monday!

Filling out your roster in the current CBB era is like a puzzle, and even more when you are a mid-major team.
MC lost their 2 highest scorers last season in Kevair Kennedy and Ernest Shelton in the portal.
Gallo and co. have once again retooled:

While the preseason polls don’t always have an exact indication on how the regular season will shake out, this is quite the chip on the shoulder for both teams with the season looming👀
Prove the rankings wrong.
I always try to use the coaches poll as a measuring stick at least early on, but both of these rankings feel too low, I can’t wait to see these squads exceed them.
“We will see you later tonight” chills by Joe Davis, what a game 4, and the Rays stay alive for at least another game.
Playoff baseball.

This is actually really interesting, Fairfield was picked as the number 1 team by the coaches, receiving double the amount of first place votes as Merrimack. Yet there are 5 teams in between MC and Fairfield on these rankings. Now I’m intrigued to see how Fairfield looks.
Fun fact: there are only 2 NFL teams that won their division last season that are currently leading their division today:
The 4-2 Jaguars and the 3-3 Panthers
(Steelers are 5-2 and tied for first, if you want to count them, that’s fine.)
The Celtics are back in action tonight, looking to get over .500 for the first time in this early season with a battle against the Bulls, who are 1-2.
The Celtics won the season series 2-1 last year, most recently a 19 point victory in February.
This is such brutal news for OKC, you draft legitimately perfect for the past half decade, are forced to break apart your core due to the CBA, and now the players you obviously wanted to keep around go down for the season 3 games in.
I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve, we are so close to college hoops.
