My friend had been dating his partner for almost five years. When they met, she was struggling financially, and he was the one who supported her through some of the most difficult moments of her life.
He helped her pay her school fees, supported her when she lost her job, and even gave her money to start a small business. He never complained because he genuinely believed they were building a future together.
When her business finally became successful, things started changing.
She became more financially independent, started travelling with her friends, and gradually stopped including him in her plans.
At first, he thought she was simply enjoying the results of her hard work. But one evening, he noticed that she had changed the password to her phone. Whenever he asked who she was chatting with, she became irritated.
One night, he casually asked when they would finally start planning their wedding, considering how long they had been together.
She looked at him and said, “I think we should stop putting pressure on this relationship. I need time to figure out what I really want.”

I arrived at work at 7:25 AM, almost 35 minutes before the official resumption time. I settled down, switched on my computer and started attending to my responsibilities.
Unfortunately, I completely forgot to thumbprint when I arrived.
Around 10:15 AM, I received an email notification from HR. I opened it, and to my surprise, it was a formal reprimand for coming late to work.
I was honestly confused. How could I be reprimanded for lateness when I was among the earliest people in the office?

There’s this girl who used to go to anime conventions alone, and one time her phone died while she was there. She found an empty outlet to charge it, and while she was waiting, a guy came over to charge his phone too.
They started talking, and she found out he was heading to the same city she was going to. He offered her a ride, but she turned it down. When he offered to drop her off at the train station instead, she agreed.

I checked into a hotel for two nights, and everything seemed fine until I received my final bill.

Me: “Who?”

Receptionist: “The hotel manager, sir.”
