There are countries where, if things start falling apart, even something as basic as electricity or internet going down would immediately raise alarm bells. In Nigeria, the country could be gradually collapsing, and most people probably wouldn’t even recognise it.

Yeah, the Nigerian "intellectual class" can't seem to resist silver the guiles of silver-tongued mountebanks and it's partly attributable to an education system that prioritizes hierarchy and credentialism over producing adults with healthy cognition.

"Trans rights are highly compatible with Islam while Gay rights are not"
Are these the words of an intelligent person?

Lmao a few days ago or so you all were all genuflecting before the so-called intelligence of this person. As though a salient part of applicable intelligence isn't the ability to deduce commonsensical conclusions.
One of the biggest reasons it is so easy to fool people on this issue, is because most people do not realise, that Trans Rights are highly compatible with Islam while Gay Rights are not.
Because Transgenderism is highly homophobic and misogynistic, just as Islam is highly homophobic and misogynistic.
Both Islam and Transgenderism do not respect the exclusive same sex attraction homosexuality of gay men or lesbian women.
Both Islam and Transgenderism rely on regressive stereotypes of masculinity and femininity, and in an Islamic worldview, being Trans will always be more useful than being Gay because the trans framework allows Muslims to push effeminate men out of maleness (see Iran forcing Gay men to transition), and to further qualify masculine women for harsher punishment for not staying in the designated social place for females.
It's also incredibly useful for surveilling females (prior Muslim dynasties used an adjacent idea of Eunuchs to surveil cloistered females in intimate spaces using nullified men)
So is it surprising that a Muslim man supports Trans ideology or Trans rights or Transgenderism?
BIG FAT NOOOOOOOO
A lot of Nigerians have not come to terms with how bad our country is.
I have met people who are always talking down on India and they genuinely believe that Nigeria is a better governed country than India.

Lmao.
This person is a bigot but it's excused because she claims to be a feminist.
It's geopolitical equivalent of "men bad, women good".
They can't see it as multiple state actors working for for their own selfish reasons at the expense of others.
A lot of people only view issues through the heroes and villains framework.
Read this earlier this year and I think about it often.
What struck me most is something which was mentioned in passing is that the Lady thought she might have been really sick and would die so she mentioned she would feed the AI chat bot with some of her memories so it could

The point of all these is the question. Would you create some sort of digital horcrux where you upload a person or your own texts, voice, diaries, emails into an AI chat bot that acts as that person to help cope with a loss or death

It is so funny that some American senators and reps wanted to force 10 commandments in schools. Interestingly, the people pushing for it have broken at least 5 of them.

When you say "Nigerians cannot afford basic public utilities like electricity" (which people all over the World can afford);
You forget that one of the basic/major responsibilities of Nigerian leaders is to grow the GDP per capita, reduce inflation, and maintain a realm of security and prosperity;
Not continuing to blame ordinary Nigerians burdened by high inflation for their own poverty - ad infinitum.
This ersatz 1980s/1990s style Washington Consensus neoliberal economic thinking - will lead to ordinary Nigerians finally dismissing "Nigerian technocrats" as being incompetent, insincere, and inconsiderate.
