SCDSB educators can access lessons for these texts (and more) on the Literacy Site ➡️ Read Aloud Lessons
Working with @broerse_j to revitalize the literacy room @ECESeagles we created a space for Es to quickly access rich read alouds that are diverse and inclusive while promoting a sense of belonging. Texts have lessons printed and ready for use! #moreTextsComingSoon

Congrats to @scdsb_schools student Atharv whose creation, “Olive the Otter” is the newest member of the @torontosymphony Zoophony orchestra! “Olive the otter likes to play flute. Sometimes he thinks about fish & water so much, he plays the rhythm of the waves on the beach.”
The Toronto Zoophony Orchestra (TZO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Olive the Otter as its newest flute player.

After researching the history of the song "This Little Light of Mine", students created their own lyrics & video that represents their identities, culture, traditions & how they let their lights shine in the world.
How we let our lights shine! Check out our original version of "This Little Light of Mine", written by our class and performed by Mr. Joe Crone. @SCDSBequity @FldcrestFalcons @SCDSB_LearnHome docs.google.com/presentation… drive.google.com/file/d/1_Xf…

A great way to build community and share aspects of identity in a virtual classroom!
I've been wanting to make the languages in our class more visible, this is one small way. I asked students to write how they say hello, then pulled them together in a graphic for our classroom banner. It's a first step! @SCDSB_LearnHome @scdsbELL

We are so excited about this new addition!!
Proudly presenting the latest addition to Sora! Over 40 magazine titles that explore a wide range of subject areas. The most exciting part is that multiple readers can borrow any title at the same time. These magazines are perfectly suited for guided reading! @SCDSBProgram
