Assuming there are only four Bristow Fellows for 2027.
I believe I have the names of the 2027 Bristow Fellows at the Office of the Solicitor General. They're from @StanfordLaw (2026), @Harvard_Law (2025), @NDLaw (2024), and @CornellLaw (2024). If I'm missing anyone, please LMK. I'll post soon. Thanks! #SCOTUS

A3G's sources work fast! Now missing only one 2027 Bristow Fellow. (The third is a 2024 @CornellLaw alum.)
The 2027 Bristow Fellows have been hired by the Office of the Solicitor General at the U.S. Department of Justice. I know of two: a 2026 @StanfordLaw grad, and a 2025 @Harvard_Law grad. Please drop me a line if you know of others. Thanks!

Fun fact: Mathew Rosengart—who has represented many celebrities over the years, including @britneyspears in her conservatorship fight—clerked for Justice David Souter (when he was on the New Hampshire Supreme Court).

One shift in Supreme Court practice in the last 20 years is the standardization of waiving the BIO when the petition is plausible, basically making the Court invite you to file one. My recollection from clerking in OT03 is that this wasn't done then—but it certainly is now.
This is not "ballsy"; it is a bog-standard practice respondents use to get a free extension of time. SCOTUS will almost certainly order them to respond and reset the BIO clock.

1/ @UChicagoLaw did very well in #SCOTUS clerk placement for October Term 2026—see below from @TedFrank, a proud alum.
Via @DavidLat, @UChicagoLaw, at a third the size of Harvard, has the most SCOTUS clerks per capita once again, as is befitting the best law school in the country.
