A lying liar. Where's the evidence?
Sen. @tedcruz (R-TX) calls U.S. Sen. candidate Abdul El-Sayed (D-MI) a "theocratic zealot" and claims that "the evidence overwhelming demonstrates that Abdul El-Sayed is a strong and life-long supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood."

Suffolk didn’t ask job approval but it captures a complete OH inversion: 56% of voters there now view Trump unfavorably after he won ~ that much in 24. 57% of college+ say they want their vote to force a change in Trump’s direction. That’s college voters in OH, not CO, CA or NY

Yeah, if you actually own an espresso machine, it’s more efficient to make americanos than drip coffees. It’s also better for customers as no one wants coffee that has sat around for hours.
Lolol there is no "basic requirement" for doing business. If they aren't doing drip after a certain time, it's because no one is ordering it often enough to keep it brewed. Food costs are too high to brew a bag every hour to sell 4 cups the rest of the day.

Coffee shop pet peeve I’m noticing more and more: “Sorry, we stop serving brewed coffee at 10 a.m. Can I get you an Americano instead?” If you are a coffee shop in America, having brewed coffee available anytime you’re open is a *basic requirement* of doing business.

But calling Trump a fascist somehow inspired the political violence that killed Charlie Kirk. These people are shameless.

This is an objectively false and slanderous claim made with reckless disregard for the truth. Demand Scott goes on Hannity again before Election Day to apologize, or else sue him for defamation.

72% of voters say they’ve seen “the ad.” Seven voters flipped from VR to Acton, just one from Acton to VR.

I get that neocons like Cheney/Kristol were supporting Harris and Kristol even said she sounded like McCain on foreign policy. But even so, she was still more reliable on foreign policy than Trump, who’s completely unhinged. I would have voted for Cheney herself over Trump!
has there been a proper reexamination among people who thought trump was the less hawkish option in 2024? it can't just be "we were lied to"...he almost started a war with iran the first time! nearly everyone who wanted a war with iran supported him!

Joe Rogan, quoted by Bloomberg. “What Trump stood for, some of it turned out to not be real. Like one of them was the no wars. Well, look, we’re at war with Iran. So that wasn’t real.” bloomberg.com/news/features/…

As a SC native, I am still stunned that a SC Senate race could be closer than one in Florida. (I’m also old enough to have met the last Democratic senator from SC as a college intern at my local newspaper.)
NYT/SIENA ANSWERS OUR PRAYERS. REAL POLLS IN MN AND SC! Turns out, the other MN polls are trash lmao. MN ain’t even CLOSE. Parties spending in Trump+12 MN-01 and not MN SEN makes WAY more sense now. Also, SC Senate is basically TIED - TOSSUP! Annie Andrews could actually win!

I’ll admit, always get a tad nervous that the plane I’m on is too old to fly when I see the “no smoking” sign still exists next to the fasten seat belt light. Why is swapping out these “no smoking” lighted signs so difficult for so many airlines?

The Andrews equation requires Darline to underperform Lindsay by a few points coupled with a small percentage of Rs casting third party protest votes and over performance among Dems, particularly black voters per @chucktodd and I actually think his analysis makes a lot of sense.
Even in SC, Trump's approval among college+ Whites is way underwater (42-57). Andrews is winning 47% of those college Whites, far more than Dems usually get in SC. Combined w/overwhelming rejection of Graham (and Trump) among col & non-col minorities alike, that puts her in range

Reasons people missed this race earlier (and I get being scarred by 2020 race): 1) Trump not on the ballot 2) SC state population has changed significantly since 20, it is one of the fastest growing states in the nation 3) L. Graham was uniquely unpopular in the state and had only grown more unpopular since 2020 4) Andrews is an excellent candidate xitter.cf/MeghanMcCarthy_/status…
do not sleep on SC 👀👀👀

In the @nytimes @SienaResearch SC Senate poll, far more voters who didn't vote in 24 remain undecided than Harris or Trump voters. Among the non-24 voters who have already decided, Dem Annie Andrews is +23. The share of non-whites who are undecided is also twice the % of Whites.

Making the case that one of the funniest scenes in American comedy “is not funny” takes some chutzpah. Yes, everything that supports the skit could have been easily cleared up, but many forms of farce (mistaken identity etc) have us ignoring obvious solutions in exchange for laughs. The timing of the whole scene is precise and brilliant. “Who’s on first” is hilarious! Arguing, as Cowen does, that it’s somehow a racist anti-immigrant skit is a giant stretch. Bud Abbott supposedly being the Jewish establishment figure is an uphill claim given that Jews in 1945 (when the segment was filmed) were still a minority facing widespread discrimination from the actual American establishment (College quotas, no entry and some hotels and many country clubs, etc). Seeing discrimination everywhere is wokeness run amok! (Also, in their professional lives, once they hit Hollywood, the “oppressed” Costello became the star and Abbott the supporting player. Early in their career, they split their income 60/40 in Abbott’s favor, but after Hollywood, it was 60/40 in Costello’s favor, and stayed that way while they worked together.) And back to Cowen thinking the skit is offensive (nonsensical), I’m still stuck with how can he possibly say it’s not a funny bit?!? I don’t know. (Third base.)

No? He wants to cut off US taxpayer dollars to the broad Middle East and focus on America. Rogers is the one who wants us fighting endless wars and spilling blood and treasure into the region.
"I have an opponent who wants to represent Palestine. I want to represent Michigan." With the midterms just around the corner, Republican U.S. Senate nominee Mike Rogers makes his case to Michigan voters, promising to lower prices, improve children's reading skills, bring defense manufacturing back to Michigan and help younger Americans buy homes. "We have a great opportunity. But I'll tell you, this is about the heart and soul of America." @SteveDoocy @foxandfriends

As with many other issues, the problem is this is fantastically expensive. Germany, for example, charges a 3.6% payroll tax just to pay for its LTC insurance system, and my understanding is that it probably needs to be increased. And like childcare, it's an issue that people get passionate about for a short time, then forget about.
