Yi He said Ng is leaving to pursue a new venture after more than five years at the company, while Yek previously worked as vice president of finance at Airwallex. Wall Street strategists see a buy-the-dip opportunity after the recent slide in U.S. tech stocks. Morgan Stanley’s Mike Wilson says the next two to three weeks are a window to add equity exposure and is keeping a year-end S&P 500 target of 8,000. Ed Yardeni also called the drop a correction rather than a bubble bursting, while Wells Fargo remains more cautious on AI and semiconductor stocks.

Kevin O’Leary predicts the CLARITY Act will pass in 2027 out of economic necessity. He argues tokenization makes modern crypto rules unavoidable because it improves on outdated 1960s-era systems for moving money. The bill remains stalled in the Senate, and it would need to be reintroduced in the new Congress after the midterm results.

Fidelity’s Jurrien Timmer says he prefers Bitcoin over gold after both dropped in the latest sell-off. He points to Bitcoin holding up better against gold, with one Bitcoin now buying about 21 ounces compared to roughly 12 at the recent low. Timmer still sees both as hedges, but calls the current lean toward Bitcoin a tactical preference based on relative strength.

The Bank of Russia has approved public trading of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tether on regulated domestic platforms starting November 17. Russian citizens can trade these assets through authorized intermediaries, but with an annual limit of 300,000 rubles (about $3,700) and after a mandatory risk assessment. The move creates an official channel for crypto trading as authorities try to bring activity under supervision and reduce the informal market.

China’s YMTC plans to source up to 70% of the equipment for its fourth memory chip factory from domestic suppliers. That’s a step up from just over 50% Chinese-made tools in its third fab, with a floor of at least 60% for the new plant. The move supports Beijing’s push for chip self-reliance and could boost orders for local equipment makers like AMEC, Naura, and Piotech.

More than $1 billion in leveraged crypto positions were liquidated, mostly long bets. Block has agreed in principle to pay $764 million to resolve a U.S. Department of Justice investigation into its anti-money laundering controls. The proposed deferred prosecution agreement would defer a criminal charge for three years and still needs court approval. At the same time, Block’s Bitcoin gross profit fell 50% year-over-year to $52 million, mainly due to lower Cash App fees.
