⚡ An update for SE Ranking customers on Google ranking data.
Google has recently been returning incomplete or unreliable results to rank trackers across the industry. This can cause keywords to show false drops or appear as not ranking, even when their actual positions haven’t changed.
Our team has made several fixes, and rank checks are now running normally for the vast majority of keywords. Ranking data has also been corrected for all affected dates.
The issue still affects roughly 2% of tracked results, and that share continues to shrink. We’re continuing to work on a fix for those remaining cases.

Thank you for your patience and for flagging issues when you spot them. Your feedback helps us identify and correct affected results.
⚡ New in SE Visible by SE Ranking: Movers and Types in Citations.
Now you can see which sources AI is starting to cite more, and which ones it's quietly dropping, the same week it happens.
Movers ranks domains and URLs by how fast they gain or lose AI citations: Top, New, Trending, Losing. A page that's climbing is worth pitching before your competitors notice it. One of yours that's losing needs a refresh before it falls out of AI answers.
Types shows what AI draws from: editorial sites, forums or your competitors' own domains, and listicles, how-tos or comparison pages. You can also see how that mix shifts over time, so you know which formats are worth producing next.
Both live in Citations → Domains and URLs, by day, week or month.

SE Visible by SE Ranking is the AI visibility platform — where, how often and in what tone AI answers mention your brand, with the competitive context to act on it.
⚡ Easy start in SE Visible: enter your domain, get a project built around what you actually sell.
SE Visible reads your site and walks you through setup:
products and services → audiences → markets and locations → competitors → topics and prompts → AI engines
Each step comes pre-filled, tells you why that suggestion is there, and stays editable until tracking starts.
The first numbers you see reflect what you sell and who you sell to, so day one already gives you something to act on.

Rankings in one tool, competitors in another, social listening somewhere else, then hours stitching it all into one doc. Two London agencies cut that down by connecting SE Ranking and Planable to Claude, so the data comes back in one place, already compared.
Tomorrow, Anthony Barone and Scott Hircombe will run both workflows live on a real client account and show which steps still need to be done by hand.

SAVE THE DATE!
[And the whales! cc @TheMarketingAnu]
Do you still work in silos (of course you do; we all do).... would you like to see what would happen if we tore some of those walls down?
[Also, if MCPs kinda feel " abstract, " this is a great way to see what they can ACTUALLY do for your marketing, SEO, social, etc.
1 SEO agency + 1 social agency + 2 MCPs = way more scalability for your SEO, content, & social strategies for great visibility (and faster client setup) across the board.
I promise there will be no more math.
There will be Anthony Barone of @StudioHawk and Scott Hircombe of @Parameter sharing how they jointly used BOTH the @SERanking & @PlanableApp MCP's to:
🔵 Plan client content for 3 months
🔵 Create a proposal and brief for a client

Everyone's optimizing their own pages for AI search. Fewer people ask the more useful question: which sources are AI answers actually built from?
Usually, social ones. We analyzed 100,000 searches: two in three Google AI Overviews cite a social or community source (SE Visible). Which means your AI visibility is being decided in Reddit threads, YouTube videos, and LinkedIn posts, whether you're watching them or not.
That changes the job. Publishing better pages is only part of it. You also need to know which conversations shape your niche, whether AI cites you or a competitor in them, and get in before the thread cools.
The loop we'd run: find where social ranks for your topics in SE Ranking, see who AI cites in SE Visible, and track those conversations in Planable Social Listening so you can act on them.

🚨SE Visible Product Update - A REALLY NICE ONE!🚨
Now you can track citation TRENDS at the URL and Domain levels.
This means you can get insight into citation volatility across various LLMs, which URLs (and domains) are newly cited, which have lost their visiblity, etc.
In the case here, I easily spotted a niche competitor giving the main brand here a run for its visibility money!
You can also engage the toggle to see the difference between BRANDED and UNBRANDED prompts and the citation patterns seen for each.
Watch me as I show you how different they are!
Great job by the @SERanking team!

Can AI discover a brand nobody knows yet?
We launched one and tracked it across five AI engines for 7 months to find out.
By September, the brand appeared in answers to non-branded prompts:
→ Perplexity: 30.6%
→ ChatGPT: 8.3%
→ AI Overviews: 0.6%
→ Gemini: 0.6%
→ AI Mode: 0%
To understand the gap, we looked at the sources each engine used.
Here’s what we found:

🚨 New feature alert: Gap Score is live in SE Visible
It takes how often AI uses a page, multiplies it by the number of competitors on that page, and drops to zero wherever your brand already appears.
Sort by it and the top rows are pages that name your competitors and skip you. That’s your next outreach list. Narrow it to specific competitors or check which content types AI keeps citing.

Last night, after day one of @brightonseo, we got together with our friends at @SearchSeven for a cozy agency dinner ✨
The idea was to bring agency people around one table for the kind of conversations there’s never time for between sessions. Just talking shop and getting to know each other offline.
We also ran a charity raffle during the dinner, and everything raised will go to @SaveukraineUs and @UAnimalsENG.
Thank you to everyone who came and donated, and to Gavin Willis, Jade Miller and Maddi Sheppard for hosting the evening with us. Grateful for the people who make this industry feel human 💙
Day two is today, so come find us at the SE Ranking booth for some free swag. Say the magic words, "I LOVE SE VISIBLE," and get 1 million free MCP credits.
See you there!
🚨 New in SE Visible: exclude branded prompts from your statistics
Switch on Unbranded in the project filters, and every metric on screen is rebuilt from non-branded prompts only. Topic and group totals follow it. So do exports, which means the client report shows the same number you see.
On top of that, the prompts table has a Branded filter, and when you group by topic, each topic row shows its branded and non-branded counts.
What's left shows whether AI recommends you to people who don't know you yet.

Toothless. That's how @ajkohn describes the remedies in the two US antitrust cases Google "lost."
We asked two SEO experts and a social media expert the same question:
Who is in more legal trouble, Google or Meta?
⚡ Turns out it takes two to find the catch: losing a case and facing meaningful consequences are two different things.
→ @ajkohn thinks Meta may have more legal exposure right now. In his view, Google's US antitrust issues are largely behind it, and the EU is a thorn, not an existential threat. Meta's main product is social media, and that opens it up to a slew of legal jeopardy.
→ @BrookeSellas takes the fight out of court. Whether Google and Meta win or lose in court, both companies face a bigger battle over customer trust, and public opinion moves a lot faster than the legal system.
→ @TheMarketingAnu questions whether the trouble is real at all. Has either company paid a cent yet, and does any government actually know how to build a case against them?

🚨 Product Alert! 🚨
Segment your brand and unbranded prompts and visibility data in a single toggle! New to SE Visible (your LLM companion to @SERanking)!
Yeah so?
Tracking prompts and tracking keywords are not the same thing. Whereas SEOs have, in the past, loathed "brand keywords," - they are a vital part of checking the health of your LLM visibility. Knowing how, when, and why an LLM sees your brand or ignores it is a cornerstone of your overall LLM visibility.
This toggle is huge for getting a look at that overall place your brand sits within the LLM's mind.
When Google's AI answers a query, the source is often a Reddit thread or a YouTube video. Not the brand's own site.
We saw it across the data. We analyzed 100,000 searches in 20 niches: 76.73% already had a social or community source in Google's top 10, and two in three AI Overviews cited one (SE Visible).
For SEO, that collapses a comfortable distinction. Social isn't a separate channel from search. Reddit, YouTube, and LinkedIn are competing for the same positions and citations you're already tracking, and the mix swings hard by engine and by niche.
So the averages won't help you. The platforms that decide your visibility in one niche barely register in another. You have to look at your own.
The research walks the full loop: find where social ranks in SE Ranking, see who AI cites in SE Visible, and track those conversations in @PlanableApp Social Listening to turn them into content.
