ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਵਫ਼ਦ ਦਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਪੁੱਜਣ ’ਤੇ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਲਈ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਕ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਦਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਹਰ ਧਰਮ, ਵਰਗ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਭੇਦਭਾਵ ਦੇ ਨਤਮਸਤਕ ਹੋਣ ਪੁੱਜਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰਧਾਰਾ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਮਾਨਵਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਾਬਰੀ, ਸੇਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਬੱਤ ਦੇ ਭਲੇ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਨੇ ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਵਿਚ ਸਿੰਘ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੋਏ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਵੀ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਵਫ਼ਦ ਨਾਲ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮੇਲ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਇਤਰਾਜ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਇਸ ਪੋਸਟ ਹਟਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਅਗੋਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਸਕਰ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਥੇ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਰ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਢੁਕਵੇਂ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਇਸੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੜਗੱਜ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਭਰ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂ ਪਹੁੰਚਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰ ਦੀ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹਰ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਾ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਪਾਵਨ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਸੀ ਸਦਭਾਵਨਾ ਦੀ ਕਾਮਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਦਾ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਨਾਤਾ ਹੈ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਫੌਜ ਵਿਚ ਕਈ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸਨ ਸੋ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਵਫ਼ਦ ਨਾਲ ਉਥੇ ਵਸਦੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਵਿਚਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
