Summit to Sunset is happening Friday 11/17 rain or shine! Nearly 500 people have RSVPd for an oceanside bike ride and happy hour on the last day of the APEC summit. Let’s show the world that San Francisco is more joy than doom loop. RSVP here: greathighwaypark.com/APEC Friday, November 17 — 3p Bike ride from the Golden Gate Park’s Conservatory of Flowers (the Bay Wheels station at JFK Drive) to the ocean at Great Highway and Taraval — 4p Happy hour with live music at Great Highway and Taraval — 4:57p Sunset The bike ride will happen rain or shine. If you can’t do the bike ride, just RSVP for the happy hour party at 4p. NOTE: The happy hour location has changed. It is now at TARAVAL and Great Highway. If it rains during the 4p happy hour, guests can move to the nearby Riptide bar. If the skies are clear, we will keep the happy hour and live music on the Great Highway at Taraval. Why a Summit to Sunset? San Francisco's Sunset district offers magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean and it is home to the Great Highway, which is transformed into a park on weekends. It was named by the New York Times as one of "52 places for a changed world." Confirmed so far: State Senator Scott Wiener, Assemblymember Matt Haney, District Attorney Brooke Jenkins, City Attorney David Chiu, the Consul General of the Netherlands and the Consul General of Switzerland.
