This week we published our Annual Report for 2023. This report provides a detailed account of all our activities and funding from our office for last year. It includes;
· the background and strategic context for our work, and for #ConnectingForLife, Ireland’s National Strategy to Reduce Suicide
· details of our accountability and governance frameworks
· financial summaries
· an overview of what was delivered in 2023 by the office, HSE Resource Officers for Suicide Prevention (ROSPs) and many other funded NGO Partners.
For example, in 2023:
· Over 13,000 people participated in suicide prevention training programmes – including on topics such as self-harm, and suicide bereavement.
· Our office supported the considerable body of work from 22 HSE Resource Officers for Suicide Prevention (ROSPs) who coordinate the implementation of 10 regional Connecting for Life Suicide Prevention action plans across the country.
· We supported 21 national NGOs that work tirelessly on supports and services, promotional activities and initiatives aligned with our collective suicide prevention efforts.
