Love doing sport and fancy a career in education? Some pearls of wisdom from yours truly. Seriously though, athletes do make great teachers.
🔥It's education month here at LAPS. Why do athletes make great educators? What other roles are available in the education industry?
We're kicking off with @SLongstaff , @TeamGB @BritishRowing cox, Principal of @LdnParkSchools.

The London Park Schools Winter Sports Day delivered on all levels. Loved it! Children playing football and netball in mixed house teams, running around, being healthy and having lots of fun. What a winter tonic! @EatonSquareSch @lpsclapham
Thank you to Rosemead Prep for inviting me to their busy, vibrant and happy school to present an assembly this morning on the theme of kindness. They were very kind and welcoming to me 🙏.

I’m fortunate to work for @DukesEducation which shares my belief in the importance of classroom environment for students’ wellbeing. I look forward to presenting on this topic with the very knowledgeable Clare Bowman this week @rczmconsulting @lpsclapham
We had a fabulous one this morning with an invigorating discussion of why we are a breath of fresh air in secondary education @lpsclapham. I then dashed off to the @DukesEducation AI Summit. Equally invigorating. All in all, a superb day.

Currently listening to @theaieducatorX at the @DukesEducation AI Summit. AI won’t take your job, a graduate with AI skills will. Absolutely.
Thank you @NappyValleyNet for the 23/24 Schools Guide and gorgeous cup cakes. Yum! @lpsclapham
It’s not rocket science. Well actually, I think it is. Loving the new Launch Pad at Eaton Square Prep. Lucky pupils! @EatonSquareSch
I can’t believe I’ve been caught sitting down! Thank you @lpsclapham! Looking at the clock, I was just catching my breath before assembly. I had the most amazing day and loved every minute.

A new school year and a new school as a new Principal. I loved every minute of our first Inset Day today. What a community and what a school we have. @lpsclapham #BreathOfFreshAir instagram.com/p/CwPaa8Isv5I/…
Public speaking, debating, oracy are all skills we should be developing in young people. We all need to learn to connect with other people and like the rest of education, these are skills that need nurturing.
“The ability to speak well and express yourself should be something that every child is entitled to and should master," says Keir Starmer. Hear, Hear! 👏Read what a Putney student had to say on the importance of learning oracy.

Great video and also great to see @PutneyHighSport ball girls in this video.
What does it take to be a #Wimbledon Ball Boy or Girl?
Ahead of The Championships, @rogerfederer and The Princess of Wales visited us to find out - and play some tennis, of course 🌱
