This weekend we’re travelling to Kalkarindji in the NT, to play at the 60th anniversary of the ‘Wave Hill Walk Off’ Gurindji Freedom Day Festival.
The celebration marks an historic moment in Australian history which took place on the 23rd of August 1966. What started as a struggle for better working conditions led to Gurindji country becoming the Birthplace of Aboriginal Land rights in 1975.
It’s an honour to celebrate this moment with the proud Gurindji people and I’d like to thank them for the invitation.
Let’s Rock.
