Meet one of the SMML’s newest members, Ryan Zappa!☀️⚾️
He is a first year PhD student from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training from Waynesburg University and a Master’s in Sports Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh. . . ↘️
A fun fact about Ryan is that he is working as an athletic trainer for Auburn’s ROTC program. His future aspirations include becoming a professor and teaching in an athletic training program.
Welcome, Ryan!!
@AuburnKINES
The focus of his thesis was body composition and anthropometric measurements in Division 1 athletes. Ryan was drawn to the SMML because of the laboratory’s focus in upper extremity in biomechanics. During his time at Auburn, he plans to investigate catcher biomechanics.
