On June 24, 2026, approximately 5,800 feet over Surrey. British Airways Boeing 777 carrying approximately 256 passengers came within just 50 FEET of colliding with an unidentified flying object shortly after departing London Heathrow for New York. According to the pilot, the object was: • Shiny, silver and metallic. • Extremely reflective. • Approximately the size of a large suitcase. • Travelling at tremendous speed in opposite direction. • Passing dangerously close to the aircraft’s right wing. No corresponding radar contact was identified. The UK Airprox Board investigated the encounter and classified it as CATEGORY A, its highest collision-risk classification. Investigators concluded that a definite risk of collision had existed, or that chance had played a major role in preventing one. Authorities were unable to positively identify the object. Just THREE DAYS EARLIER, another commercial aircraft crew reported a large unidentified object flying beneath their aircraft. Two unidentified aerial encounters near one of the world’s busiest airports, separated by just 72 hours.
