I was just speaking with someone earlier today about how little investment Black boys and men receive, generally, from the Black โcommunity.โ
Investment in their education, general development, skills, etc.
Instead of being protected, Black boys are neglected if not rejected.
Due to the Black malesโs natural resilience, strength, and adaptability, even when left to fend for ourselves, the majority of us still manage to figure things out, and rise above the circumstances.
There is much honor in that.
We are the stone that the builder refused.
