Maths is fun, it teaches you life and death information. Like, when you're cold, you should go stand in a corner since it's 90 degrees there.

This one is for those of our pupils who might considering Maths at University. Oxford University are streaming 1 hour of Maths puzzles, challenges etc on Thursdays at 17:00. Great addition to a University application! maths.ox.ac.uk/node/37970
Some of our students have been researching Katherine Johnson this week as part of Creativity Day!
Katherine Johnson was a brilliant mathematician who worked at NASA in the 1950s, and became essential to the US space programme. #WomenInScience bit.ly/3p7WQd3
2021 is both the difference of two square numbers and the product of two consecutive primes. Just another reason to prefer it to 2020 really.

Some 'tricky' equations on Pointless today. Our students would have smashed this... Right?

Is decorating a Christmas Tree an art or a science? Bit of both? Certainly seemed to be both when our own Carolina took it on herself to redecorate the tree in S7 today.

Starting today we'll be showcasing some of the brilliant work our young mathematicians are producing. Maths Monday starts now!

This week on #mathsmonday we've got some very complex Y13 A-Level work dealing with cot, sec and cosec. Mrs Shuttleworth couldn't wait to show this off, so much so there were 2 more images than Twitter wouldn't let me attach!

Next up on Maths Monday (Yes, I know it's Tuesday) we've got some perfectly set out HCF and LCM questions. One of our pupils in 8S should be very proud, Mrs Poole certainly was! #mathsmonday

Spotted by Mr Kerswell on Only Connect last night, can you complete the sequence? There is more than one correct answer!

Whilst unusual, this is as common as any other combination of numbers that can be selected. Can you think of any reason why there were so many people that had these same numbers? #mathsinaction bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-…
What a mad thing to give a name
This is the ultrahex. We know at least 2 things about it: humanity will probably never be able to write down all its digits and its last digit is a 6.
Think my Y12s are a bit sick of probability by now but this is an excellent question
