For the past weeks I’ve been grueling over deciding to grind for Worlds or Best-of Gaming.
Testing everything under the sun, trying to decide on a Legend to not regret chasing after Top 8.
In Vegas RQ one of my friends got 2nd place and didn’t even get a Best of.
Imagine coming 2nd place and all the best of winners got more value than you. Somebody didn’t even day 2 and came out better than he did.
Sometimes going for the glory does not reward you with anything else but that.
With this change, the best of the best will be rewarded. For a championship, that’s how it should be.
I can now take the weights off without remorse.

The top 58 finishers will draft from the available Overnumbered Foil Plated Legends in finishing order, beginning with 1st place and continuing until all 58 Legends have been selected.

Lanterns was amazing, but the last episode was absolutely underwhelming overall unfortunately. Not a bad end, but I think every episode leading up was flatly better

I so much love this take because it completely exposes the double standard towards the new Resident Evil reboot.
If you refuse to consider the 2026 film a real entry just because it ditches the OG heroes for a bumbling everyday courier, then by that exact logic, you have to throw out Resident Evil 7 too.
The gaming community universally praises RE7 as a masterpiece, completely forgetting that it took the exact same massive gamble by introducing Ethan Winters, a totally normal guy with zero combat training, no ties to Umbrella, and enemies that weren't standard zombies. Shifting the camera to an ordinary civilian isn’t an insult to the lore; it is literally the exact narrative blueprint that successfully saved the video games a decade ago and did the exact same for the movie franchise.
If you don’t consider Resident Evil (2026) a Resident Evil movie, then you certainly shouldn’t consider Resident Evil 7 a Resident Evil game.
Arguments about whether or not Resident Evil (2026) is faithful to Resident Evil or not when we have an entire game with a similarly brand new protagonist with entities that stray even further from standard zombies + barely any mention of Umbrella at all is ridiculous. Many of the complaints people have about the accuracy of it being set in the RE universe you can spin back at RE7.
Whether something is considered “Resident Evil” or not should never be on the basis of whether or not it has game accurate enemies, lore, or whether or not it features the OG characters as that clearly isn’t the case for some of the series’ entries. #ResidentEvil
As a Resident Evil fan: good movie, end of story.
Everybody acting like this doesn’t follow up 20 years of action slop movies titled resident evil.
Taking a break from producing really changes the workflow of a mix down/sound design now that I started again. I’m like simplifying everything and it feels so clean.

Mastering tip for Ableton users ⚠️
Tip: put the lesser known “Utility” plugin on your master chain. you won’t need to change any settings so don’t touch it at all. This instantly creates a warmer feeling for the listener, and the mp3 will degrade up to 30% slower 🙂
