Here's a "pinned tweet" thread because I want to pin more than one.
The 1964-2005 live-action productions are the #StarTrek Original Universe. That's TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT, the TMP films through TUC, and the TNG films.
(Jeri Taylor also canonized her two VOY backstory novels. No one of higher rank ever disputed it, but many ignore them.)

So it's just like Earth, then.

Generational ships raise serious moral issues. Later generations never chose to live their entire lives and die confined on a ship floating in space. That is a violation of free will. Roughly 16 generations would be sentenced to life in prison for no crime other than being born.

An unstoppable air leak on the ISS' Zvezda module forces permanent closure of its compartment, in turn requiring redocking of all future Russian cargo ships between two ports for cargo delivery and orbit corrections.

Huhh, so this is what a supersonic sea-skimming target interception looks like (Unseen IR cam Footage from US navy).

Now we learn if a lifeforce sustained by hatred can outlast the man who doesn't think of the other at all.

I get the idea that Elon is doing so much for the US and the world but he's also just wrong about a lot of things, mostly involving politics where he goes full Dunning Kruger. He also does massive damage to his companies by saying really stupid things in public and doubling down.
I'm mulling over another way the coming generation may be cooked.
Outsourced thinking is bad enough, but I've long noted that heavy input of TV and films mean you can end up with large numbers of people whose behavior and responses end up influenced ...
... by, if not emulating altogether, fake behavior and responses from writers, directors, and especially actors. We become unreal.
There are several corollaries to that idea.
1. Where the quality and realism of the writing and acting are good, the impact is not terrible.

I'm just going to point out that there are two people at the start of this hike.
How do you say "NATO bastards!" In Russian?

Yeah but it’s so unfair to Russia that there’s more and more countries they can’t annex without triggering article 5
Where are they supposed to invade if everyone around them is in a mutual defense agreement? 😢
9/11 conspiraloon-level engineering and construction ignorance has both deadly consequences and less-deadly ones, like self-disproof of nonsense like "only demolition causes gravity collapse into the footprint".
Rabbit ears for the lot of them, I say.

'Peak VLS' probably happened in 2021 for the US Navy, when around 10,200 VLS cells were available across all Ticonderoga, Burke, and Zumwalt ships (~9400), plus Ohio and Virginia (~800) subs.
By 2027, it should fall to ~8650.
