The last Wichita product to play in The Masters was Grier Jones. He played Augusta three times and finished top-40 all three times (1970, 1972, 1973).

Back to Back World Champion: Graham Schmidt, a 10 year old golfer from Andale, won the US Kids Golf World Championship (Age 10) on Saturday at Legacy Golf Links with a -16 (67, 65, 68) in a competition of the 150 best across the world. Three days of 18 holes (54 total holes). Schmidt, who will be in fifth grade at Andale elementary this year, also won as a nine year old last season. He won by four strokes at the 2025 championship to repeat as world champion. He is the son of Dylan and Whitney Schmidt. #sportsinkansas
