Councilwoman Mai Vang agrees: ALL COPS ARE BASTARDS AND FILTH. @SacPolice Officers and my @sacsheriff Deputies are not ICE; and definitely not Bastards or Filth. Sacramento City Councilwoman Mai Vang, who’s now running for United States Congress, not only believes that SHE can protect you, but she also endorses that “All Cops Are Bastards” ideology and that the men in women in uniform are “Filth”. Congresswoman Matsui does not believe that. I support Doris Matsui and I am asking you to join me.

🚨 THE COMMITTEE TO REVISE THE PENAL CODE? MORE LIKE THE COMMITTEE TO DISMANTLE IT. CALIFORNIA — SPEAK UP TOMORROW! California’s Committee on Revision of the Penal Code is considering a letter urging Governor Newsom to issue a BLANKET COMMUTATION OF EVERY DEATH SENTENCE IN CALIFORNIA. That’s 563 convicted murderers whose death sentences were imposed by juries and judges. Their justification? Homicide rates are down. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? What on earth do today’s homicide rates have to do with the horrific murders committed by these killers? NOTHING. Tell that to the parents who buried their children. The families of murdered police officers. The loved ones of victims who were raped, tortured, kidnapped and slaughtered. Lower homicide rates don’t erase their crimes. They don’t erase the verdicts. And they certainly don’t erase the victims. This committee was created to revise California’s Penal Code — not dismantle justice, disregard juries and silence victims. 📢 TOMORROW, OCTOBER 27, AT 1 PM — MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD! The committee will discuss the proposed blanket commutation and take public comment. 📞 Call: 669-444-9171 Webinar ID: 818 7106 1684 Meeting agenda and Zoom link: clrc.ca.gov/CRPC/Meetings/Ag… California voters have repeatedly upheld the death penalty. Victims’ families deserve justice, not another bureaucratic assault on finality. SHARE THIS. CALL IN. SPEAK UP. VICTIMS’ VOICES MATTER. THEIR LIVES MATTERED.

"Illegal encampment settled nightly blocking pedestrian sidewalks and access to crosswalk." 12 days ago the city responded to this same area saying: "7 individuals at CalTrain - Three are currently sheltered - Four others declined detox and shelter - Provided water, hygiene, and dog food."

Vote because this murdered dog cannot. Vote because the person who murdered this dog will never see justice. Vote because the murderer of this dog will be voting. Vote because this is one of countless dogs that are murdered on the streets of Los Angeles. Vote because corrupt non profits will show compassion to this murderer. Vote because it’s the only want to fix this.

Every Seattle parent should be outraged at city leaders for allowing homeless drug addicts to conquer another children’s park.
HAPPENING NOW: What an absolute disgrace and public safety crisis unfolding outside Seattle's Dr. Jose Rizal Park. I watched more than 20 Beacon Hill International Elementary School kids dodge fentanyl foil and homeless drug addicts as they walked home Monday afternoon. One parent says Seattle Public Schools refuses to provide school buses since they are dealing with a budget crisis. Meanwhile, less than a week after socialist Mayor Katie Wilson announced her new plan to address homelessness, her streets are covered with service resistant drug addicts because they are all refusing shelter and services. @MayorofSeattle|@SeaPubSchools

Someone should make a coalition to stop public death. This subject never crosses anyone’s minds. It’s not good for anyone. Like a war zone. The impact greater than one would think I’m a witness. So are so many of my neighbors. Cruel. And unusual. @GavinNewsom

NEW: Socialist Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson and Downtown Seattle Association CEO Jon Scholes are getting shredded for being tone deaf on the city’s homeless drug crisis. Seattle is truly cooked.
NEW: Downtown Seattle Association CEO Jon Scholes was slammed after falsely claiming that homeless vagrants refusing services was "a myth & is not a thing." Seattle’s Human Services Department recorded 7,565 shelter offers; only 1,884 were accepted, meaning 75% weren't accepted

People are falling through the cracks and not receiving the care they need. This is not sustainable. We will never have resources for prevention if we don’t figure out how to improve mandated care for the mentally ill and drug addicted folks that are on the street.

The mayor of Oakland couldn't keep her own lights on. Sheng Thao is on trial for bribery, and prosecutors just showed the jury her texts. December 2022: can't afford rent. PG&E bill over $1,000. Water $800. And that same day her boyfriend is chasing a check from the fixer at the center of the whole alleged scheme. May 2023: the power gets shut off. $6,000 to turn it back on. By November the bill is $3,000 and she is telling him to turn off the lights. Read that again. The mayor of a major American city had her power cut off while she was allegedly selling her office to the highest bidder. And meanwhile the rest of us pay some of the highest electricity rates in America and get bombarded with idiotic PG&E commercials patting themselves on the back for keeping the lights on, like we should thank them for charging us a fortune to do the one job they exist to do. And Gavin Newsom? He inherited the golden goose. The greatest state in America, the best economy in the nation, handed to him on a silver platter. He didn't build any of it. He just makes everything worse and more expensive, and brags about it the whole time. And he brags about it all from a $9.1 million mansion in Kentfield, his kids in a private school in Ross that costs over $70,000 a year, while the middle class either gets fleeced or leaves California. Oh, and the guy on trial for bribing the mayor. Here he is in a photograph with his buddy Gavin himself.
Day 6 of the Sheng Thao trial. Prosecutors played a 2019 recording of then-Councilmember Sheng Thao talking to Andy Duong about a closed-session discussion on California Waste Solutions. She named names. “Noel, fucking Dan, and Loren kept bringing it up,” she said. “It was mainly Dan.” She told him Rebecca Kaplan was concerned and that Loren Taylor would “shut the fuck up” if Larry Reid stepped in. Then she added, “We don’t need people hearing us talk” and “We don’t want to be seen with you guys.” The same day the jury heard texts from Thao and Andre Jones about money. In December 2022 she told him to “pay the fucking rent” while PG&E was over $1,000 and the water bill was around $800. In January a check from Mario Juarez hit Jones’s account the same day she pressed him on rent. Later, after she was mayor, she texted that the power had been shut off and reconnection would cost $6,000. By November she was telling him to turn off the lights because she “cannot pay” a $3,000 bill. Barclay also walked through a roughly 100-page Evolutionary Homes group chat that never included Jones, plus emails and an org chart that left him off the government-relations side. A $35,000 check from the company still went to him in November 2023. On a separate recording Andy Duong told Thao, “You need to get your shit together. If you want to continue for another term, you better start acting right.” The defense started cross-examination by pointing out that Oakland never bought the housing units and never extended the recycling contract. One juror was excused. Trial continues next week.

Think about your childhood, and how a little corner park like this with a basketball hoop and a swing set could be the best place on earth. Now, look at what we leave our children.
Too many Oakland parks either look like this or are gated off and inaccessible to the community to prevent homeless encampments from taking over. Shame on Oakland City Hall for taking victory laps while families can't even enjoy their neighborhood parks.

For some time I've had Claude analyzing CA legacy media for bias in covering illegal immigration. The @sacbee_news (actually @mcclatchy) is the most biased in terms of what they cover and how they frame it. Claude recently moved them from a 7 to an 8, 1 being no bias.
