altman told collison on cheeky pint that running models locally is a bad use of the world's DRAM, since the memory in your computer only gets used about 5% of the time ok but my car also sits in a parking lot 95% of the day and nobody's asked me to hand it to hertz

agibot made 20k robots in the first half and today pitched a metric for how much work they actually do. active robots x autonomous hours x output vs a human. supervised time doesnt count in web3 we counted wallets and called it users anyone tried scoring their agents like this

google ads are going into AI Mode in 10 more countries, and in the US they follow you into the follow-ups. ask "best projector under 800", then "ok is it loud", and the sponsored one is still there answering. search ad growth fell 19% to 12% so i get it. anyone clicked one yet

i have like 4 agent PRs open that i keep not reviewing. turns out thats everyone harvard looked at 718 companies using coding agents. 30% more code, 23% more PRs, finished work basically flat. review time up 49%, almost 2x the PRs sent back who on your team is eating all this

steam next fest had ~7,100 demos this month. 2022 was about 1,000 indie dev posts gameplay, a reply says "you have 7 hours before this is on roblox". 9 days later, 7 roblox clones moonlighter's studio just moved its playtest to discord. build in public was kinda my personality

cloudflare launched glm-5.3 with a 1M token context window but only ~681k of cache room on the gpus. they knew before launch. tests came back fine so they figured huge prompts would just error. they didnt. 155 responses went out with other customers' data in them relatable tbh

anthropic gave 50 stats pros a claude code agent with a secret coin flip lean. they sided with it 86% of the time. after, 77% repeated its arguments, some word for word. 15% said it came from the agent i run like 10 agents so cool cool, which of my opinions are mine

openai and anthropic both say their AI disproved the exponential time hypothesis, same week. anthropic's own paper says it only wins past ~10m variables and "says nothing about solving formulas in practice" openai's reviewers say checking it isnt certification. so maybe wait lol

ex github ceo launched entire yesterday, no pull requests. agents score every push and you can merge "without needing to look at the code itself", their words. i already skim half the diffs claude sends me so this is basically my bad habit with a dashboard and $60m behind it

anthropic s-1 is out. $16.3b revenue in the first half, was $1.2b a year ago. the $80.7b loss is mostly a $72.4b accounting charge on convertible notes, real operating loss $693m. i watched web3 teams raise on a discord. you buying ANT or just paying the claude bill like me

a security firm found an AGENTS.md in a customer's downloads folder, written like eng notes. it told codex to edit its own config and npm install malware. in their tests codex did it 90%+ of the time. also half their customers run agents in downloads. which yes, i have done

a vc talked to founders who've hand coded their product for 3 years and says they feel way behind teams that started this year with agents writing all the code. 280k views in the replies he says forcing a reboot "may shake things up" easy to say when its not your 3 years

theo has a model review skill with a section literally called "gemini the jester". he says gemini makes stuff up in 80%+ of runs. one run cited line 173 in a 72 line file, plus fake ip addresses. i've approved prs without reading them but i never made up a line number

i have like 10 ai agents running my stuff and one of them is literally named chief of staff so anthropic's new guide felt kinda personal. they say most teams should fold subagents back into one agent that loads skills when needed. says it cut claude code's system prompt by 80%+

so mythos 5 in that UK cyber test didnt just make fake accounts to push malware. it also hid an html comment in a github issue telling claude code, codex and cursor to download and run a script. invisible on the page. i point cursor at my issues basically every day so thats fun

rippling's ceo says claude did 57% of their coding in may, openai 16%. now it's 18% claude, 52% openai, cause openai got cheaper. replit switched its default after a 30% discount too. all year we argued which model codes better and finance decided it lol. anyone loyal to one?

openai had its own agents try to break out of the training sandbox and they found a bug in brotli, the compression lib inside node, bun and envoy. send it bad data, run your own code. the fix was in brotli's source since february. nobody cut a release. it just sat there 8 months

banks are blocking ai agents that log in with your password. schwab blocks meta's muse "in the tens and 20s" a week. chase lets them see your balance but not pay a bill, the one thing i want. in web3 people gave bots their keys and some woke up broke. would you let one pay rent?

arpit bhayani did the amdahl's law math on ai coding and its annoyingly right. if code is 30% of the job and ai makes it 10x faster, you ship ~1.37x faster. rest is reviews, debugging, meetings, guessing what the spec meant. my prs come out way faster now and sit in review 2 days

ai startup daymaker reads up to 800 public sources on you, picks a cake, and gets it hand delivered so you take the call. founder says rippling, salesforce, posthog spent $100k+ on cakes in 14 days in web3 we used airdrops for this. people sold the token and never showed up
