According to the federal Food and Drug Administration, washing fruits and vegetables under running tap water often removes or eliminates residues, if they are present at all. @SafeProduce geneticliteracyproject.org/2…

Don’t let the #DirtyDozen list scare you into avoiding fruits and veggies. An adult woman could eat 13225 servings of blueberries in one day without safety concerns from pesticide residues. This calculator puts things in perspective: safefruitsandveggies.com/pes…

Another year, another fear-mongering, #elitist, inflammatory, #clickbait “Dirty Dozen” list that disparages the safety of fruits and vegetables that are also among the most affordable. Eating any produce helps reduce the risk for several chronic conditions! #irresponsible

This is why I ignore the Dirty Dozen list from EWG. Only 1 in 10 U.S. consumers eats the recommended daily amount of fruits + veggies. Scaring people away form produce w/flawed science is counter productive. Enjoy fruits/veggies whether canned, fresh, frozen or 100% juice!
Since 1995, EWG annually releases its “Dirty Dozen” list which inaccurately disparages the safety of fruits and vegetables. A study published in the Journal of Toxicology examined EWG’s list and their methodology. Visit our latest blog to find out more. bit.ly/3mIWPRn
