Have you ever experienced #SexualHarassment when out in public?
We’ve launched a new survey to better understand public harassment so we can help stop those behind it.
We know it can feel incredibly difficult to speak about, but your answers could help make a difference.
We have commissioned 10 free personal safety awareness sessions for the local community (ages 16 and over) beginning on Saturday 29 January 2022. Spaces are limited, so to book your free space, follow this link: bit.ly/3pgEVmH #saferbasildon

#Cuckooing
🧵Criminal gangs target the homes of vulnerable people to be used for drug dealing - a process known as “cuckooing” (like the bird that invades other bird’s nests) and victims are often left with little choice but to cooperate...
A person is trafficked if they are brought to (or moved around) a country by others who threaten, frighten, hurt and force them to do work or other things they don’t want to do. Find out more information below. #SafeguardingAdultsWeek #Moderndayslavery

We really enjoyed the first delivery of our new Time to Think virtual roadshow for Year 8 pupils. We had some informative discussions focusing on consent, inappropriate touch, sexting, and the effects of alcohol and consent. @childsoceast @BasildonCouncil #saferbasildon
We had an excellent day on the 5 Links estate yesterday - it was great to be out and about again with our partners and meeting local residents to get their views on community safety in their area.
