One of the best things about final events like ours is reuniting with the people who made the past four years so special!
Three months ago, partners from the SaferUP project met at the PEARL building at University College London to share how to make our cities' pavements more sustainable, accessible, safe, resilient and smart.
Watch the highlights below ↘️
Materials scientist @markmiodownik and #SaferUp coordinator @SangiorgiCesare were jointly THINKING BEYOND THE PAVEMENT at the Saferup Showcase event at @PearlPlace_ , @uclnews, #London.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at this beautiful venue for our showcase event next month

Why is the lighting pink in the park at PEARL? Because the tree needs a blend of deep blue and near infrared light (with a dash of green) to stay healthy and grow while waiting for the @REGEN_Study experiment to start. Lots of fresh leaf buds and some leaves starting to appear.
Flashback to our delicious SaferUP! cake at our launch in 2018 (where did the time go)
