The con-servative Supreme Court's greatest failure was revoking death sentences for former teen terrors like this.
Cap Black: Killed a little girl & put her in his water bed!!! Waste of human existence. :(

He was 14 when he beat his 8-year-old neighbor with a baseball bat, cut her throat and pushed her body inside the frame of his waterbed. Then he slept on that bed for a week while the whole street searched for her.
Jacksonville, Florida. November 3, 1998. Maddie Clifton went outside to play and never came home.
Volunteers searched the woods and ponds for days.
Joshua Phillips lived across the street.
Police came to the house. A sergeant later recalled that Phillips sat on that bed petting his dog, "cool as a cucumber." Maddie was right underneath him.
Seven days after she vanished, her body was found inside his bed.
In the video below, Phillips stands in court in an orange jumpsuit and reads a letter to Maddie’s family. "I did something horrible. I’m so sorry." He was sentenced to life without parole in 1999.
After the Supreme Court ruled out automatic life without parole for juvenile offenders, a judge resentenced him in 2017. He received life, with a sentence review possible after 25 years.
This May, Phillips withdrew his request for that review. He said he still believed he could live a productive and meaningful life if released, but wanted to address concerns about his rehabilitation before returning to court.
Maddie would have been 36 this year.
Did the boy who slept on that bed grow into a different man, or should some things close the door for good?

LACAG and TSOF have made no public endorsement in the U.S. Senate race. We nonetheless offer the following documented facts after receiving multiple requests to make a statement on the issue of NDAs within the U.S. Senate race:
Jamie Davis, former member of the Tensas Parish Police Jury, has never signed a Non Disclosure Agreement as a public official, and opposes NDAs.
Julia Letlow signed a Non Disclosure Agreement In June 2024, with a subsidiary of Meta concerning its proposed $50 billion data center in Richland Parish.
That agreement covered details of the project and even the existence of the discussions themselves.
Within months, financial disclosures show purchases of Meta and Nvidia stock in her portfolio, before the project was publicly announced.
Those transactions were disclosed more than a year after the federal reporting deadline.

Can't beat her on policy so dig up and trump up charges – at New Orleans, LA
A Democratic House candidate in North Carolina was hit with a felony criminal summons while attending her own campaign event earlier this month.
Lakesha Womack, running to unseat Rep. Tim Moore in the state's 11th congressional district, was served by a Polk County sheriff's deputy on Oct. 11 for felony failure to return a hired motor vehicle — charges she says stem from a 2019 rental car she couldn't afford while homeless and living in a hotel with her son. Womack claims she had no idea the charges were pending until days before the event.
Moore's campaign fired back, saying the situation "raises serious questions" and that Womack "owes voters an explanation, especially since her court date is one week after the election." If convicted, she faces up to 24 months behind bars.

Letlow has problematic ties to lobbyists and data centers. Conversely being called not conservative enough on DEI by the hard right, which may yield better policy than what we've seen from Republican senators lately.
