Another pachyderm death due to electrocution, when will the authorities wakeup....
ANOTHER TRAGIC LOSS & ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY IN MADHYA PRADESH! A young 14-15-year-old elephant was electrocuted to death in West Beohari Range, North Shahdol Forest Division,MP. Just a few days ago, another elephant and a tiger were electrocuted to death, yet NO RESPONSIBILITY HAS BEEN FIXED TILL DATE! How many more majestic animals must die before the Forest Department wakes up? We demand an immediate high-level probe and strict action against negligent officials! #WildlifeCrimes #ElephantDeath #Tiger #Shahdol @moefcc @CMMadhyaPradesh @ntca_india @byadavbjp @PMOIndia

🌿🐘 Walking Together for Wildlife & Coexistence! 🐘🌿 As part of Wildlife Week 2026, SAGE Foundation joined hands with enthusiastic school children of Koira–Barbil, Odisha, for an awareness rally carrying an important message to the community — wildlife conservation is everyone’s responsibility. Through their voices, placards and enthusiasm, the young participants spread awareness about the importance of protecting wildlife, conserving natural habitats and, most importantly, learning to coexist with the wild animals that share our landscapes. 🌳🐘🦌 In a landscape where people and elephants often share the same space and resources, building understanding from a young age is an important step towards reducing conflict and creating a future based on respect, tolerance and coexistence. When children become ambassadors for wildlife, the message travels from schools to homes, and from homes to entire communities. 💚 Protect Wildlife. Respect Nature. Share the Landscape. Coexist. #WildlifeWeek2026 #WildlifeWeek #HumanElephantCoexistence #CoexistenceWithGiants #SaveElephants #ElephantConservation #WildlifeConservation #HumanWildlifeCoexistence @JSWFoundation @DfoBonai @PCCFWL_Odisha @pccfodisha

52 tigers dead in a single year, and now another body found in Katangi, Balaghat (MP) under suspicious conditions! Total incompetence! How long will this silent slaughter continue before someone is actually held accountable? @PMOIndia @CMMadhyaPradesh @ntca_india @moefcc #TigerDeaths

In the wild, elephants don’t just eat — they forage, explore, move and choose. 🐘🌿 Asian elephants can spend up to 16 hours a day feeding and consume an extraordinary diversity of plants. This variety supports their digestive health, physical activity and natural behaviour. In captivity, restricted movement, limited diets and isolation from a herd can have serious consequences for both physical and psychological wellbeing. Protecting elephants means protecting more than the animal — it means protecting their habitat, freedom to move, natural diet and social bonds. Healthy Diets. Wild Lives. Complete Families. Because elephants thrive in nature. 🌿🐘 #SAGEFoundation #AsianElephants #ElephantConservation #ElephantWelfare #SaveElephants #WildElephants #WildlifeConservation #ProtectWildlife #ElephantFacts #WildlifeAwareness #ConservationMatters #LetElephantsBeElephants #Coexistence #NatureConservation

That elephant in Assam is FINALLY free from the tyre. But not free from us. For 48 hours it roamed in distress in Morongi, Golaghat with a tractor tyre choking its neck - because someone dumped waste in its corridor. This is not an accident. This IS human-elephant conflict. Clean your waste. Secure the forests. Or next time we won't be lucky. Salute to Assam Forest🙏 #Assam #ElephantRescue #Golaghat #HumanElephantConflict

🐘 One Trunk. Hundreds of Jobs! An elephant’s trunk is an extraordinary natural tool—used to breathe, smell, drink, feed, touch, communicate, bathe and explore. With tens of thousands of muscles, it combines incredible strength with remarkable precision. 🌿 Protecting elephants means protecting the habitats where these amazing adaptations evolved and continue to thrive. Elephants: Nature’s Forest Engineers Elephants don’t just live in forests—they help shape and sustain them. By opening vegetation, dispersing seeds and creating pathways, they influence habitats used by countless other species. Protecting elephants means protecting the biodiversity and ecological processes of entire landscapes. 🌿 SAGE Foundation | For Wildlife. For Nature. Can elephants hear through their feet? Yes! Elephants can detect low-frequency vibrations travelling through the ground. Their sensitive feet help them sense distant calls and movement—another remarkable adaptation of these intelligent giants. 🌿 Protect elephant habitats and corridors. Every safe pathway matters. Zeenat and Her Cubs Vanish from Camera Traps in Similipal – Only Radio Signals Remain In Simlipal Tiger Reserve, tigress Zeenat who was relocated from the forests of Central India for genetic improvement gave birth to four cubs earlier this year. The cubs were born in the South Simlipal area, which has relatively higher tiger density. A camera-trap photograph of this tigress went viral in June. In the image, she was carrying one tiny cub in her mouth while the remaining three cubs followed closely at her heels. Since then, not a single photograph of this tigress has been captured on any camera trap, and forest staff still have no update on the condition of the cubs. At present, signals from this radio-collared tigress are being received from North Simlipal an area where tiger numbers are highly scattered and extremely low. According to the radio-signal updates, the tigress is moving within a very small area of roughly 20 square kilometres. Such restricted movement can be considered an indication that cubs may still be with the mother. Despite the severe shortage of wild herbivores (prey base) in the area where she is ranging, no incidents of domestic cattle kills have so far come to the notice of the forest department. The tracking team has been conducting continuous patrols, yet no evidence of the presence of the tigress or her cubs has been found. Forest staff say that rain washes away the footprints of the tigress and her cubs, and the capacity of camera traps to capture images is also badly affected during the monsoon. As of now, the radio signal remains the only means by which it can be said that the tigress is safe wherever she is provided the signal data is genuine. In the last 30 years, the deterioration of Simlipal Tiger Reserve has been so severe that few parks have suffered a comparable fate. This park was once known for its strong corridor connectivity. Today, inbreeding among tigers has reached such an extreme level that changes in their gene pool have become visible melanistic tigers being a clear example of this degraded gene pool. We hope that tigress Zeenat, who was released with the objective of strengthening the gene pool of tigers, and her cubs are safe and that the forest department is not lying about this matter in any way. #bigcatsafety #zeenattigress #simlipaltigerreserve #melanistictigers #WildlifeConservation
