Damn this day and the hours that crawl,
heavy and slow beneath a sky of gray.
The cloud has stayed with me through it all,
pressing soft and endless on the day.
Your photograph stole the night from me,
kept my eyes open while the hours bled.
Every glance became a quiet plea
for the warmth of a love that distance fed.
Damn these days of longing, thin and wide,
the empty space that still remembers you.
Yet even here, with the storm outside,
I love you with everything I have, my love
every breath, every ache, every sleepless hour too!

Happy Halloween.
10 of 32 editions of G[h]o[st]ld Mine have found homes since yesterday.
Really means a lot seeing a photograph I’ve kept to myself for four years finally make its way into other people’s collections.
22 remain.

I know I joke a lot but this is on a serious note.
I was in high school when we invaded Iraq under the false pretenses of WMDs. A lot of my friends were tricked into thinking they were doing the right thing by enlisting.
The ones that did make it back were never the same, including one of my best friends.
He made it home with a purple heart after being shot 3 times, the physical injuries were nothing compared to the mental injuries.
the realization that he had to kill for a lie told to us from our government was rough on him.
He died last year from an overdose. I view his death as a casualty from that war 20 years later.
They will do whatever it takes to trick you into believing that this war is just and needed, dont believe them.

Scroll, scroll, scroll….. so little I want to see on here. Mostly political click bait. A few CT engagement farmers and a little football.
Really have to dig deep for the art. If you see it, like it, you may get to see more of it!
I put a 🥸 in it !

The Encounter — 1/1 Original Photography
From the ancient sequoia forests of California to a collector's digital gallery.
A fleeting encounter with one of the forest's smallest inhabitants, now preserved in a new home.
My heartfelt gratitude to @CrawfordCurates for recognizing something extraordinary in this tiny creature and giving it a place in your collection. ❤️
Part of The Keepers of Giants, a photographic trilogy celebrating the intricate worlds hidden beneath ancient trees.
