If the Aprilia next year has the same advantage it does this year, Bagnaia is fucking walking that championship mark my words

Heads up that in the last decade, the full-time equivalent salary on the minimum wage is up 77% from £15k to £26.5k
Meanwhile both the personal allowance and the 40% tax band threshold haven't moved in seven years
In 2016 someone earning minimum wage paid just £795 of tax a year; now they pay £2,773

Back in 2010, the minimum wage was £12,064 and the 'higher earner' band started at £43,875.
You only paid 40% tax once you were earning 3.6x the minimum wage.
There was clear incentive to progress, learn and aspire for more.
As things stand, you now start paying 40% tax once you earn £50,270 which is just 1.83x the minimum wage.
If it was the same multiple as 2010, the 'higher earning' band would be £98,841 and everyone below this amount would be paying 20%.
Someone on £98,841 is effectively losing out on £9714.20 net per year if the bandings had simply moved in line with previous multiples relative to minimum wage.
This is one of the reasons why the middle class is being eroded and why there's a cost of living crisis in the UK.
An increase to £13.20p/h equates to a minimum wage of £27,456, based on a 40 hour week.
Once you factor in employers NI and basic pension contributions, the MINIMUM cost to hire a 21 year old for a company would be £31,461.
This is before you factor in any overarching business costs like office space, laptops, phone, software, training, support staff, vehicles etc.
This is going to be devastating to SME's who cant put together a simple 12 month budget without the goalposts being moved & their margins squeezed.
It'll also be catastrophic to youngsters opportunities because businesses will simply not be able to afford to hire them.
What's also incredible is that anything above £50,270 is seen as 'high earnings' in the UK and is taxed at 40%!
We are governed by financially and economically illiterate morons.
This will not end well.
SOMEONE GET THIS SHIT IN DEMOCRACY 4 IMMEDIATELY IMMA FIX THE UK
I wanted to visualise Britain's state spending ahead of the Budget, so I've vibe coded an app which presents it as a disk drive.
Take a look at the tradeoffs and see if you can make the budget fit:

Mira como frenaba el puto Bagnaia cuando la moto le dejaba hacerlo como él quería... Pero yo me tengo que creer que está mal del coco y que por eso se le ha olvidado pilotar.

“Well Generative AI is here now so we might as well-..”
WE HAD LIVES BEFORE GENERATIVE AI. COOL THINGS WERE MADE WITHOUT GENERATIVE AI FOR DECADES
I have never agreed with a statement so much in my life. And it's the case for F1 too. Motorsport should be just that - sport at all costs. Not growth at all costs.
Oh my god bruh the front wing setting was 10+ clicks lower than they THOUGHT it was and they only fixed it at the final stop 😭 which is when he started catching Verstappen super fast
12 wing clicks difference but apparently = the same 🙄

Claro.
15 Piloti contrari.
5 Piloti favorevoli.
All'appello ne mancano 2.
Secondo quanto appreso da "The Race" all'interno del paddock è scontro totale con solamente 5 Piloti che sono favorevoli al Qatar (tra questi tutti e quattro i Piloti Aprilia, ovviamente), mentre ben 15 sono contrari.

Elon Musk really does out everyone who is in the middle of the bell curve doesn't he?
The things he says can't be done. No, you're not too stupid to understand him. He's just slightly too unintelligent to understand that smarter people have already found it's impossible.
Elon wants chip fabs on the Moon now. Lunar soil is 20% silicon, he says, so you just mine it, refine it, stamp out solar cells and chips. Next level of the video game. His words.
He's a walking 1954 Popular Science cover. "Moon Factories by 1975!" You can picture him red-faced at some poor SpaceX engineer, jabbing a finger at a render: "I saw this in a magazine! Why can't you guys do this?" Because the magazine was fiction, Elon. That's why.
Boring question one: water. A single leading-edge fab burns through millions of gallons of ultrapure water every day, the kind filtered and polished until it turns chemically aggressive and rips ions out of anything it touches. Making it takes an industrial plant of its own. On the Moon you'd be chipping ice out of permanently shadowed craters at minus 230 C and feeding it through a purification chain that doesn't exist, powered by energy that also doesn't exist.
Boring question two: shaking. Lithography machines sit on tuned vibration isolation, springs and masses and counterweights engineered around Earth's gravity down to the millimeter. Lunar gravity is one sixth of that. Every spring rate and tuned mass in the stack assumes 1 g, and the Moon has its own moonquakes nobody has fully mapped. So forget shipping a fab up there. You'd have to redesign the entire physics package from scratch, in a hailstorm of charged abrasive dust that eats seals and bearings for breakfast.
And here's the part that makes it funny instead of just dumb. NASA studied all of this while Elon was still in college. Ignatiev and Freundlich published the actual paper in 1991: waste silicon from regolith processing, vacuum-deposited thin-film cells laid right on the surface. Serious work, fifteen years of it, and by 2005 the best anyone could promise was 5-8% efficient cells sprayed on melted moon glass, economical only at megawatt scale. Chips? Never in the plan. Not once, in thirty years of study. Then a 2006 follow-up walked back even the crude version, because melted regolith is too lumpy and dirty to make a decent substrate. The 2025 research gave up on purifying lunar silicon entirely and just ships the semiconductor layer from Earth.
Thirty years of papers saying "hard pass" and this guy shows up with the crayon version of a 1991 NASA study, calls it visionary, and the fanboys clap like he invented the Moon. He isn't a genius ahead of his time. He's a man who skips the reading, and it shows every single time he opens his mouth just to pump his cult stocks.
Oh dear 😬

One of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard from a UK government. Stock up because of a totally unspecified menagerie of dangers, ‘a dangerous and uncertain world’. What the fuck are they talking about? A desperate ploy to sow fear, low expectations and deference to government.
“Be ready by having some everyday essentials… three litres of water per person per day, tinned goods... to last a few days”
Speaking to @vicderbyshire, Defence Secretary Wes Streeting details advice to households to be prepared for a “dangerous and turbulent world”.

AI is truly a groundbreaking innovation. Here's what it's giving us
- Ruining the internet and digital security
- Making ppl dumber and less happy
- Taking away jobs
- Making arts worse
- Needing data centers covering the Earth to provide us the above
Can't imagine going back
