Last night, crowds up on Short Vine destroyed property, set fires, vandalized vehicles, started fights—and assaulted CPD Officers who were just trying to keep everyone safe.
This CPD Officer was beaten and kicked repeatedly. The Officer required stitches and medical attention. This video is hard to see—and this is only the end of the video—it does not show the beginning where the Officer was jumped, nor does it show the duration of the assault.

Senate: Ken Paxton wins Texas, Mike Rogers wins Michigan, Jon Husted wins Ohio, Ashley Hinson wins Iowa, Susan Collins wins Maine, the real Dan Sullivan wins Alaska, Kansas, South Carolina & Nebraska aren’t close, Republicans win senate races easily in those states. Polls are badly biased against Republicans for the 16th out of the past 17 election cycles.

Last night, Short Vine Erupted thousands of Halloween party goers…so after multiple people became unruly, several trash cans were set on fire, multiple vehicles were vandalized, CPD Officers were assaulted—and then 2 gun shots created panic and chaos throughout the crowd—CPD made the decision to shut Short Vine down.
So the crowd simply moved to the BP station at Jefferson and Cory and did a street takeover.
Here are some pictures of last night’s takeover. I’m sure the owners of that BP Station were thrilled to see some of the damage and trash this morning.
CPD battled to maintain control of huge crowds mixed with adults, College Students and Juveniles, from about 10pm to 4am this morning.
