I want to reiterate what i said on those calls: You might be a policy expert, an academic, or someone with decades in this space—but if you don’t spend every single day figuring out how to translate complex issues into accessible, shareable content that can reach people at scale, then you’re not practicing the skillset required to counteract disinformation in this country. That’s what I do. I don’t have funding, but I have led over 150 volunteers/quarter until 2023 unpacking complex issues in a way that has had us organically reach 195K+ followers, and reaches 1-4Million unique viewers monthly, with 10x the impressions. This isn’t a moment for egos, it’s a moment for balls to the wall innovation.
