BISHOP'S BOOTY IS BEAUTIFUL! 🐶 We helped with the cost of Bishop's surgery to remove a large, painful tumor between his back legs that rubbed and bled when he walked. Bishop had a check-up and suture removal this week, and he has fully recovered from surgery. The biopsy revealed it was a mast cell tumor, but his surgeon is confident that he got good margins. Bishop was prescribed Benadryl for the remainder of his life to prevent the cancer from coming back. Without this surgery, this sweet little guy’s life would have been in jeopardy. 🙀His mom said, “For the Love of Alex, you saved my baby's life!!! I am forever in debt to you!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you.” Bishop's life was SAVED because of donations made to our mission by generous animal lovers who care about beloved cats and dogs that need urgent and life-saving veterinary care that their parents can not afford. HAPPY NATIONAL CAT DAY! 🐈‍⬛🐈😽 Today, we celebrate our feline friends. But we also want to raise awareness for shelter cats, encourage adoption over buying, and promote spaying and neutering. Every year, we receive countless applications for pet parents whose female cats are not spayed and need emergency surgery due to pyometra (a life-threatening uterine infection), and for non-neutered male cats that have been injured from fighting with other male cats over territory and female cats. By spaying and neutering, it eliminates these types of preventative medical emergencies and prevents surrenders to shelter due to the cost of urgent and life-saving veterinary care. Local spay and neuter clinics and humane societies offer low-cost services. Be responsible, spay and neuter. 💗 #fortheloveofalex #nationalcatday #cat #kittycat #spayneuter #gatos #spayneuteryourpets #responsiblepetownership #pethealth #animalwelfare #meow

DO YOU REMEMBER ROCKET? 🐈 We helped Rocket the Miracle kitty in 2023. Rocket battled serious infections and had 3 surgeries on his legs, but he made a full recovery. Rocket's medical care cost $11,813.68. We rarely get to meet the pets we help because they are located across the US. But recently, I was able to visit Rocket and his family, and he is doing pawsome! Rocket's incredible success story is a testament to the power of donations made to our mission.
