Today is my last day at Auto Express because I've been made redundant, along with many of my colleagues. I'm looking for work so if you need a driver, writer or anything else send me a DM for my email address.

Clean MOT yesterday, but last night I had an anxiety dream that it failed because of huge rust issues for some reason, so I was planning on importing a clean body from Japan to transfer parts to. Relived I don't have to bother with that tbh.

Track day at Bedford today, the Honda as great as ever. Never done the full circuit before - the back section is great. But man you use a lot of fuel here being on the gas so much.

Good event as always, it's on tomorrow too if you wanted to go. At Goodwood, if it wasn't obvious

Italian car day at Brooklands. Supercar parking is over there, I'm just over here looking at a 156 Crosswagon and a Lancia Thema turbo estate

This game is a masterpiece
Balatro's brilliantly clever, poker-inspired mechanics make it one of the best roguelike deckbuilders ever made. trib.al/CADJtdv

Nothing else like it - drives like an Impreza, sounds like a 911, carries stuff like an Octavia. Also one of the best-looking estates around I reckon.

Looks good in pictures but the paint is super rough and there are scratches all over. But I'm loving that after having an immaculate car where I was annoyed at every tiny mark or when it was dirty

I've got people telling me on one side that Subarus are the most unreliable things possible and on the other that they're built like tanks and completely bulletproof, haha

Previous owners - both members on excellent UKLegacy forum - have done everything I would have already and there's receipts for everything. Engine is wonderful and sounds even better than the M3's. Good quality coilovers mean the ride is better than my old one's too.

£700 a year to tax, ouch. No wonder nobody bought them. But I love this generation of legacy, it's so practical and fantastic to drive if you're into the tactile parts of driving like me. And it has gold wheels.

I got rid of the M3 in August - never gelled with it despite all its strengths, & hated the near-perfect bodywork being sat outside. I also decided that the cylinders were too upright, so I'm picking up a much more exciting replacement later today.

Should also add for anyone interested that buying and selling an M3 is excruciating. There are a lot of people out there that don't look after these and/or lie about them when selling, and are probably the same ones who waste weeks of your time saying they want to buy yours.
